In 3 of my 4 fantasy leagues this guy is still available as a FA and is ranked 6th overall.
Wow you're playing with some pretty poor fantasy players my friend. I know in the league you and I are in Hill was drafted.

The guy on TV just said that back in the old days a BB counted as a hit. That explains why the batting averages were so high. He mentioned a Tip O'Neil batted .407(?).

Oh, RIOS just struck out with two runners on base. Got to be the worst #3 hitter in baseball. Wells hits double, 2 RBI's.

I just dont think anyone believes that his hot start will actually last and i am one of them, lol.
All you naysayers... I think that the Jays are going to play solid baseball this year. I don't think they will make the playoffs, but I do think this will be a year they can build on for next year. If Romero keeps progressing, and the two injured pitchers come back strong, we will be alright.

Right now they are doing well without two decent pitchers (Marcum and McGowan), and crappy production from the middle (Rios and Wells) of their lineup.

Regardless of what happens, they are fun to watch.

Not a naysayer here, i am a Jays fan. I just dont see Hill keeping up this pace for the entire season.
Fair enough. He is off to a pretty hot start, and I also doubt that he will be able to keep it up. However, as long as he does not cool down too much, and keeps playing solid defensively, that is all you can ask.

Only one year was it like that... not the entire old days.

I will see your Rios and raise you with my David Ortiz, who has been much, much worse. 20 Ks so far and zero home runs, batting .215

If David Ortiz can't hit, then he is done because he can't play defense or run. He is stricty a one dimensional player.

He just seems to be seeing the ball so well and then he has the ability to hit a line drive to any field. And that was a great play he made in the first to start that awesome double play.

As well as Hill's seeing the ball is about as lost as Alex Rios appears to be at the plate.

Alan Ashby said something a year ago at this time before Hill got injured, that caused me to raise a Spockian eyebrow because it was a thought I'd never entertained before.
Anyway he said Aaron Hill had the potential to one day lead the American League in hitting and the way he's making contact with the ball this year he could be right.

With his swing, he can win the batting title (with 15-20 HR power) once or twice before he is done.

Aaron Hill for mayor! Home run, bottom of 10th. (Did he make a fielding error earlier in the game?) More HR's than Rios and Wells combined.

Yep he made an error in the top of the 10th leading to the go ahead run, then comes back and ties it with a home run in the bottom of the 10th and the game winning hit in the 11th. Aaron Hill is f.....ing amazing.

And to think that the concussion he suffered last year and some people were questioning if he was ever going to return.

Hell, he looks better than ever. He has been a great story so far this season.
