No man, "get away" is when you fly somewhere with climate control system and relieving all the work stress. And blackrock13 is still a waste of time.

the house i am looking at buying is about 14 hours north of toronto, nearest neighbor is 20 miles away.

Thinking about solar panels? I hear they are great investment. Expensive to start, but it will pay off eventually.

well there is hydro there but i can run on generators if i would prefer. solar panels are something i am thinking about. once i get everything settled and paid for it will be things i am looking into. i might just leave it as a back up plan for when shit gets heavy down here. there is a pond on the property and a lake nearby. i can be 100% self contained.

Actually, solar panels might not be a good idea. Due to minimal daylight in winter. I would invest on couple of wind mills. I wonder if there are any outcall SPs up there?
