As I wrote, some have it. Some don't. Most kids don't kill themselves in car crashes, but some unfortunately will.

Again, I'd rather my son was out fooling with a muscle car than smoking weed all day.
With all due respect, and imho, those are not the only two alternatives available.

And, unfortunately, a 16 year old could possibly smoke weed and drive his muscle car, as the two aren't mutually exclusive...

According to what I can research there have been 6951 Hellcats manufactured.

If 99.999% have been wrapped around a tree that means there are 6950.9 have been totalled.

Doubt it.
Yes this is damn powerful and fun as hell car to drive, but let's not be all Maud Flanders about this....
Can you look up the statistics on how many 16 year olds own one ?
My guess would be none, cause no one is stupid enough to give a 16 year old one.

True. I learned a lot working on cars. I learned nothing using drugs.

I honestly can't imagine that guys who like to have sex with escorts consider a muscle car a dangerous part of life, even for a 16 year old.

The 'mitigate all risk' crowd around here seems a bit odd.

Maybe. Kids had hot cars before. Some even tricked them out..(We used to call it souping them up). It was pretty common within my group of friends.

Some crashed, most didn't.

Again, I find this mitigate all risk attitude around here bit odd.

When I was in my early 20's, my friend's parents bought him a very expensive luxury car with sports package. It wasn't as crazy as Hellcat, but still a rocket. Few months later I attended his funeral. The look on his mom's face was heartbreaking.

He drove too fast and didn't stop in time. Collided with a truck. It's very tempting to go fast when you're driving a powerful vehicle.

If a parent can't change a kid's mind about buying a muscle/sports car, the very least that can be done is driving/racing lessons.
Proper training is a must!

If a 700hp car is his first car then his next car surely will be a locomotive which is about 10k hp.
