I wouldn't call what Leafs are doing Jacques Lamaire style. This is the way Leafs have always wanted to play. A very controlled game. We're not talking about a trap team that waits for neutral zone turnovers for their offense. Leafs play to minimize turnovers and odd man rushes against and emphasis on puck possession. Gain offensive zone and make plays. Leafs play smart. If they can't skate their way through the neutral zone they'll pass to an offensive player to deflect it in.
The proof the Leafs are not playing Jacques Lemaire style is that have yet to fall asleep watching a game ;)

4 goals in 4 games for Willy. Clearly the skill level he displays during the regular season translates seamlessly into the playoffs even though it is a tougher and tighter checking style of play.

I missed some of the early part of the game, did he float another one into the net?

Have to give credit to Kerfoot. He's stepped up big time in the absence of Tavares and Foligno. He looks fantastic out there.

At he start of this series I was unsure what kind of performance we’d get from Campbell, Rielly and Nylander for different reasons. All three have played great so far and that’s why their team is one win away from advancing. I’m just as happy as you cheerleaders but let’s not get too carried away, we’re facing probably the worst team among those that made the playoffs and one that imo wouldn’t have made it in any other division.

I think Nylander's best game was Game 1, he showed a lot of energy and grit, I haven't seen it since.
If we're going on stats then Matthews has been playing like shit, so has Hyman, so has Marner.
That's what you get for doing all the heavy lifting and leg work.

No one is getting ahead of anything. Winnipeg is a good team. They'll be tough to beat. 2 good scoring lines. Good checking 3rd line. Vezina trophy winner. This is just to acknowledge Nylander because you know full well the haters wanted him to fail badly.
By the way, they are beating the biggest hitting team in the league this year without the grit of Foligno.

Let's not forget Nylander set up Marner as well as Spezza both requiring Price to make spectacular saves.

You continue to make really stupid comments.
Why would any Leaf fan want one of their players failing badly, at the expense of their team?
Why don't you read my post #1,499.
