Trying to stay in a Happy Place
The way things are going the Leafs may play the Jets in the first round.
The Habs may move past the Jets into 3rd place - but with Price, Tatar, Weber, Byron, Gallagher, and Drouin out they are missing 6 regulars so who knows how many more games they will win.

I think they will hold on to 4th - not sure they will gain ground on the Jets.

Cole Caulfield's first NHL goal is the OT winner

The Leafs have 1 game vs the Jets and 3 games vs the Habs, the Leafs have a say who they play in the playoffs. The Flames and Canucks still mathematically alive aren't making it.

Forget Weber our star defense is Jeff Petry!

So the Habs are in the series. You go with Price or Allen? Tough one. Toronto would love to have such choices for their 2 goalie ;) That said if one of the Leafs goalie performs in the series they have the team to beat anyone.

The Canadiens are still in 4th place as the Jets have the tiebreaker, they have more regulation wins.

A new Leaf killer. Darts will say he's too small and he's a Habs fan.
For a smaller player he sure has a big time shot.

Ray Ferraro was talking about Caulfield on TSN a few days ago. Ferraro said he asked his brother in law Tony Granato (who was Caulfield's coach at Wisconsin) about him.
Granato compared Caulfield to Alex DeBrincat (222 points in 282 NHL games) but said he thought Caulfield had more potential than DeBrincat.

Obviously very early days to know how Caulfield will do in the NHL but two game winning goals in important games is not a bad start.

Wow Glam, you really are full of hyperboles.
Caufield 5 games 2 goals (both in 3 on 3) zero assists and more notably zero 5 on 5 goals.
Matthews 48 games 39 goals 24 assists. Leads the league in 5 on 5 goals.
Adam Brooks 9 games 4 goals 1 assist 5 pts.
Perhaps you should be comparing Caufield more to Adam Brooks.

Lets put some perspective here. Phil Kessel also had a good shot and very few think much of him. That last goal Campbell was screened.
Can we at least wait till he rips some past a goalie clean like Kessel can do before we anoint him on par with Matthews.
