T Ross is looking damm impressive . I am glad ( me included ) GM's don't take our advice cause if they did we would traded Ross at his lowest value or not have signed him ..

I do think having DeRozan as your franchise player is a great asset . How hard he has worked from a 9th pic overall to now may have rubbed off on T Ross
Haha, tell me about it, I'm glad I'm not the GM because I always though the Raptors should not have signed DeRozan to a max contract. What do I know, lol.

Imagine a Grizzlies fan saving up for a Cavs game and get to the game and realize the Cavs are resting their 3 stars

Yeah there are fans that wanted him dumped. Just shows how little they know!LOL Honestly I am so happy he has developed, he is playing with more confidence and looks more and more like he is a real piece. His D is improving and he isn't afraid to miss, so when he gets a chance after a miss he usually does something positive. Like the way he is going to the basket and that just give him more room to shoot from the perimeter. (GFE: see I'm getting there!)
Last night, that 4 Q was a nightmare, they put the 76ers away in the 3rd and then played like high schoolers for most of the 4th. The rookies were not very impressive, Don't think Jacob got off the bench in the second half and Pascal looked lost.
rap guy: I hear you re sitting out stars, at $100. plus per ticket plus gas parking beer food souvenirs etc. I want to see the best, on the other hand a teams goal is to win it all and the stars have to rest some time. I see both sides but if I went and the stars weren't even in the arena I would be ugly!

Derozan is killing it! If he added a consistent 3 pointer to his aresenal, he would be unstoppable. I also think patterson is so underated, because majority of fans focus on the players offence they dont pay much attention to their D and patterson is our best defender

With DeRozan's work ethic, my guess is the 3 will be there at start of next season if not before. He shoots it sparingly now!
Patterson has been incredibly effective on D all season, his shot has been better lately. When he gives you some offense he is really hard to criticize and lately that IMO has been the case. Carroll has also improved his game on both sides of the ball. Powell has so much potential and just keeps looking better every time out. Probably the most underpaid player on the team and maybe the league!

Dawg, TW, RGuy, .. It's all about the long game! DD and TR are the examples of how Masai and his team have done due diligence and made the right calls (so far) on what piece of the pie these guys are worth. I'm pretty sure The General will get an extension of his rookie deal sooner than later. Now with JV, jury is still out. Started season with form from playoffs but has slowed down. Really needs the midrange jump shot and mobility to keep improving in today's age of the mobile center! Again, long game still shows he has an upside and ability to contribute more in future years! PP is in a contract year so if he wants bucks he's gonna pick his game up further. If he does, Masai will have another tough summer. There are no 4's (Bruno? Calling Bruno? 3,4 but more likely no more!) signed for next year. If Sullinger works out and PP plays better, each won't be cheap in the summer. Haven't really checked on free agents this summer yet but this issue with the 4 has plagued us for years and will again, I fear, this year. We've had functional parts (Scola) but no steady presence since Amir who was never a solution.

Hawks next. Dispatch with haste and ease please! Hawks are a disappointment even with Howard. Or maybe Howard makes team's disappointing! Just seems wherever he goes team drama always evolves.

Christmas and New Year road trip might be a season maker or killer. Can't believe travel involved. Especially back from Utah redeye Xmas eve then to Portland Boxing Day among other things. If they can go .500 on trip and avoid injuries it will be a good start to 2017! Happy Holidays all.....

Again from my limited knowledge of the NBA.

I like the way Lucas Nogueira is playing, he's not afraid to pound the boards and he has softer hands than Biz. What a monster dunk that Austrian kid threw down! What's the status on Bruno Caboclo?

I V: if you read the posts on this page(10) you find a number of references to Bruno. IMO he hasn't shown much but is on the payroll for this year and next. The biggest thing he has in his favor is age, believe he is just 21 and as such may be the talent has not developed.

Raptors beat the Hawks by 44 and you could see it, they just assumed they'd win this game but the Hawks weren't gonna be embarrassed again and they took it personal.

Even though it was a pretty terrible defensive effort, they made it close and game was exciting anyway. One of those losses that doesn't really worry me that much, on to Orlando for some sun and a beat down of the Magic.

Efforts like that piss me off. Where was the "D"? rebounds 44-28 in favor of the Hawks. Siakim played 8:25, truth is he really is not ready to start. Excluding Patterson our bigs were outplayed! Keep hearing Lowery say we gotta play better D, often they have been able to turn it on when they want and need to, almost did it again. Almost fall short! Casey turned that pretty shade of purple again, if they don't start to play consistent D Casey will soon have a heart attack!

Would like to thank Jody Meeks for the flagrant on Kyle which got the boys pissed. Orlando scored 28 in the second HALF Thought VanVleet did a good job replacing Joseph, IMO Raps just got deeper!
Now we need Sullinger to get rid of the boot and get in there and perform. DeRozen has 30+ again!
Nets next. Have to get yourselves up for this one guys, doubt someone on the Nets will be stupid enough to piss you off and get you motivated!

Wasn't going to post again till I saw some D! ( even if TW and his rack sig stares me in the face). And yes, thank you Mr. Meeks, for being a Friendly elf! From that moment on, did they ever play D! That second half is how they need to play until July!!!!
Again boys can hang through this trip coming up and get to allstar break then Sully will be good to go and hopefully that'll accelerate the bandwagon! VanVleet is a player from some of the 905 games I've caught. We have depth for sure, but not where we could really use it. At PG we have KL, CoJO, Delon and now VanVleet. None a true 2 at all either. Hopefully this depth can be used for trade purposes if necessary to get the 4 we need.
return of Scola, he'll get a good reception I think and Anthony B too who'll get good reception from his family!! He's actually playing and well too! Anyway, another one where there should be no stress buts that's like asking for a Christmas miracle! Happy Holidays all....

If the Raps can come out of that Western trip 4-2, they will be in a good position. The Cavs have yet to embark on a west coast trip. After the all-star break, the Raps schedule gets really easy.
Good position ... Heck sub 500 record on that trio and they will be in a good postion .. 20-8 if they beat the Nets ... 2-4 and they would be 22-12 ...

Raps win .....big whoopee! That was boring basketball! Raps should have won that by 35 or more. The 3 youngsters getting their garbage minutes showed nothing. Cory has way too many turnovers, he is careless with the ball and his shooting is inconsistent That Nets team shows little effort and less discipline, Lopez might have helped.

The nets are just plain horrible. Trading all their draft picks for a bunch of vets a few years was the stupiest move

Wow 20-8 and your angry lol .. Warriors lost to the Lakers this year ... Cavs beat the 76ers by 1 ... I think in today's NBA teams play down to their completion most nights ... Heck Christmas is approaching and so these guys have holidays even on their mind ..

The raps have a good chance of reaching 60 wins or maybe even more. They just have to keep playing the way they are and beat the teams they're suppose too

Not angry.......disappointed! Glad I was parked in my lazy boy as I would have been pissed if I had forked out big bucks to watch that crap. Bet the 905 game was more exciting and the execution was better. The Nets were awful and a lot of guys on that team don't appear to give a rat's ass. On one Raptor fast break Lin was the only Net that tried to defend the other 4 were busy admiring the play. I agree teams do play down to the opposition at times, the problem with that is it creates bad habits.
I hope somebody, Wright or VanVleet, give Cory a wake up call soon, he has gotten real careless, passing, shot selection and execution. Last night he had a brain fart at the end of the third when he should have run the clock down, he missed a shot with about 13 on the game clock and no shot clock. If he is playing for a big contract he is going to be disappointed.
