Guys, it's a game. Take it easy.
It's not a game when you're a degenerate gambler because you could be a fan of one team but could actually bet against them. That's why you have fools like him who care only about the $ even if it comes down to betting against your own team. You lose focus and love for the game because gambling takes over and it's the only thing that matters. Ironically, we all know how this has effected or not affected the Italian team and losers like him can probably relate with a gambling perspective about the whole thing.

How sad is that considering in the long run he's losing more money then making money!

Yes, that's a loser.;)

Wouldn't it be fitting to have a Germany England final 40 years on? There's not a single team that has stood out yet and most of the games could have been won by the toss of a coin.

Brazil are poor by their standards, so they might not get to the final. France could beat them for a probable semi with England, who should beat understrength Portugal.

Germany has important home ground support to help them go through against Argentina and if they do do they should beat Italy, probable winners against Ukraine.

On the other hand, it could be Brazil Argentina but I doubt it given its in Europe.

Colosseum - 3rd Fl. Apt 12.
The fact that this takes place in Europe should be looked on too much as an advantage or disadvantage. In the last few years we see alot of situations where old records and probabality stats are being broken.

I'm just looking forward to France vs Brazil. Its a rematch of two team that met in the final I believe 3 world cups ago, and France was the victor.

I agree!!

England needs a new coach that shows more creativity.

first England will need actually talented creative players. When you grow dead ball specialists such as Beckham who completely suck in open play you dont exactly have much to work with. I have been telling many people since Beckham was a teen that he will never be great. He will only be good at best and that only if he gets a few dead balls to hit during the game.

As for you saying its isolated incidents me thinks not sir. I watch the EPL more than I do any other league and its pure thievery. No offense but there is alot of nastiness and cheating goes on in British sport. Let me not start on English cricket. They along with OZ are such nasty cheaters. It is quite actually alarming to the point of being sickening. It is made amusing when the English press then whinges about the injustices their cricketers suffer at the hands of umpires when their players are blantant thieves. Nasser and Andy Flintoff are the greatest exponents. Geraint Jones is up there too.

But back to football, I have seen aplenty that happens in the EPL but it isnt magnified. Thats the reason why you might not notice. The English coverage of many sports tends not to replay an incident over an over and over if it shows their team as the culprit. That's what I have noticed. I am guess other nations do the sme thing but I can only speak on English coverage because thats all I get

Only team to win a World Cup outside or its continent is Brazil. Sweden 58 beating Sweden 5-2 in the final with two goal from 17 year old Pele.

They also won in 1994 in the USA but thats the 'Americas' So we won't count that one

idunno much about soccer, only previously coached under19 girls and women's soccer for a hobby, but, it looks like all of England's strategies are well studied and well defended against. evident by how they can carry a whole game with lots of possession but fail to penetrate deep.

also, when a team's performance off of corners and throw-ins are well checked, then you know they are a very predictable team and the opposition knows their game.

I would also add Serhiy Rebrov vs Saudi Arabia and Philipp Lahm vs Costa Rica

I think most people watching the ashes series last summer will remember it for its fair play. Sets a wonderful example compared to soccer. :D

excellent 2nd half between Argentina/Germany

I think Argentina may have beaten themselves if they lose for taking Riquelme off too early...although the goaltending substitution kind of hurt them as well, you dont want to burn a sub on a goalie!

umm try watching England when they play against a non white team such as Sri Lanka and West indies and you will see cheating galore. They didnt need to cheat the hapless Windies but they did anyway. Very shamelessly I might ad. 'Flingtoff' as we call him is so dirty its not funny

yes, franky66... i agree 100% that England has become adept at learning the ways of which most southern european teams play- a greasy Italian style i guess, my dad, the proud countryman used to brag about how good the Italian team was at playing dirty, antagonizing and then diving to get calls in their favour. on the other hand, England used to be known as the 'gentlemen' but i can't say that applies to any team now. can't blame them, they aren't going to get far without adapting the dirty style of play the other top 5 teams use.

why did Pekerman choose Ayala and Cambiasso to take PK's???

I knew soon as they stepped up that they would miss.
Lehman is a good PK stopper. That is another factor. One of the best in the world. He did it for Arsenal in the CL and now for Germany in the WC
