Quit the whining because if it was the other way around you'd be agreeing with the call!

Australia had their opportunity with The Azzurri down a man and couldn't score!

The bottom line is, that Neill goes down early, blocks the players' progess and that is a penalty, look it up, it's in the rule books!

Italy will have to through Brazil...

as for the whole Figo thing, FIFA says he wont be suspended because he was disciplined on the field, guess I missed that...what about De Rossi? He was red carded and subsequently suspended??

Italy sucks they tied against the us and they barely beat australia. Argentina or Germany will Italy italy alive. I know italy is an good defensive team but they way argentina and germany are attacking teams italy has to focus on offense more because germany or argentina will have no mercy on italy's defense.

I'd like to know how many teams can actually break the Azzuri defense? And please don't say oh Aussies were a man up because Luca Toni was subbed on for another defender, so there was still no gaps in the defense, just that the attacking options were limited

Whatever you're harping on about the USA game is in the past. By the way, where is the USA team? Oh yeah fishing right about now, Hahahaha!

Before you embarrass yourself again study the rule book and for the record both Craig Forrest and Dick Howard (who understand the game better than you) agreed that the ref had to make that call and NO they're not Italian! ;)

You know as well as I, that unless Italy scores in regular time they have a tendancy to choke.

I'm not going to get into the bad referee calls, only because that has been consistent throughout this world cup and this time in went in Italy's favour. They can consider one of their nine lives gone.

However, either they step it up a notch, and check their egos at the door or they can go back home and have a nice panino con proscuitto and watch the rest of the world cup.

Forza Azzuri.

and you actually listen to Craig Foorest and Dick Howard? Hilarious. I've been betting on Futbol for the past 8 years. I think i know what i'm doing. Plus i already won my bets, played Draw @ HT and a player to be sent off. I am not a US fan, in fact i hate the US Squad. But its quite pathetic to be cheering about a game like that. Azzuri were tipped to win by at least 2 goals but they looked far from even trying to get one.

penalties... what a joke, can't get a goal? Well the fatigued took its toll, even the great Andriy Shevchenko missed.

A pk should not have been awarded.

According to the rules a pk is awarded when an infraction that would have resulted in a free kick outside the area happens inside the area. The only infringement the Australian player could possibly have been accused of committing, was coming in contact with the Italian after trying to get to the ball. But that's not what happened. The attempted tackle was not what stopped the Italian. What stopped him was his own act of running into the fallen Aussie. A terrible decision, especially given that there were about 10 seconds left on the clock.
