African teams have a physical advantage over any other nations. Just look at how physically fit they are. Unlike other nations, African teams lack the investment that European nation teams get which is unfortunate. I am always excited to watch the African teams, just because of their sheer determination and athletism. There is such a diversity in that continent now which is great for the game, it use to be dominated by Nigeria and Cameroon but WC 2002 saw Senegal come into the scene and now we see the likes of Ivory Coast and Ghana step up. They have great youth teams and it won't be long till yous ee an African team be a contender for the World Cup.

when it comes to stamina and speed you would have a hard time matching the Africans unfortunately, they dont know how to play as 11 players together.

Anyone get annoyed with the Luddites at FIFA getting rid of the golden and then silver goal which made extra time very exciting as opposed to that snorefest that was the Ukraine-Switzerland match yesterday.

and on the please stick to the Leafs you stupid moron hillbilly here is what Steve Simmons of the Toronto said about the WC

"If soccer is indeed the world's game, how come eight of the 10 most populated countries on the planet aren't being represented in the World Cup ... One World Cup player sums up my view of the tournament: Kaka"

real genius this guy is

Spot on but its the lack of discipline that kills African teams. That and the occasional shoddy officiating.

Ghana should have made it to about 4 World Cups especially with their former star Abedi Pele but they just never had the discipline to match the obvious abundance of talent.

It was because of sheer stupidity and non chalance that cost Senegal their place and let Togo through though

Do you know anything about football?
What a great way to start your first post following the claim that Ghana could be the fourth best team in the world with a bit more discipline. Oh the irony.

Brazil's been your team since you were 2? Thanks for that tidbit, if I'd known I was corresponding with a six year old I'd have taken it easier on you.

Listen tyke, I didn't slight African football. I'm well aware of the strengths and weaknesses of African teams. Angola, Ghana, CIV can be proud of their performances.

As for that junk side you support Portugal I hope they dont get lucky against England.
Bwah! Priceless. I love how you start to hedge your bet a week before the game. As if Portugal has needed luck to out play England in any recent encounter. We've owned that team in every game of consequence in the last 20 years.

This is my opinion and the opinion of many pundits who know football. People who have been watching Ghana come through the ranks from under 17 to under 21/20 to senior knows that this team has the tools to be the 4th best team in the world if they can get rid of their horrible discipline.

Case in point. Instead of bring the ball up field the Ghanaian defender kicked the ball out of play just so he could go up to the linesman and cuss him out for not raising his side for offside. He allowed Brazil another opportunity near to his goal. Its silliness like that costs them. They also need to use a little more discretion on their tackling. If you didnt know the refs watch them even more closely then others when it comes to tacklign then you are very naive.

I remember how Batistuta pleaded with refs to watch the Jamaicans on teh even of the World Cup match between Argentina and Jamaica in 1998. Of course Jamaica had a man sent off and then proceeded to let in 4 more goals and lost 5-0. Before the match he said the refs need to watch "these people because they are an aggressive set of people"

Anyway, please continue to wallow.

PS: According to the rankings Mexico are 4 and USA are 5. Those rankings were achieved playing a bunch of concacaf teams like St Lucia and Barbados lol

if my money was on Australia the handicap was +1 you idiot. Plus i played HT Draw and a player to get a red card. So OBVIOUSLY you have no clue about the gambling world
Yeah, I agree degenerate people like yourself who have gambling problems have alllllll the answers, that's why Vegas loves suckers like you, because the Hotels just keep getting bigger, lol! :p

And for the record moron, if you took Australia +1 it was a push so you would've made nothing on them and isn't gambling about making money?

Yeah you and every other dreamer out there that thinks they're going to get rich gambling had the 1st half draw and a player to get a red card? LOL. Nice bogus prop you wish you had, LOL.

dude you don't know crap about gambling. Go to Betfair.com and Bet365.com and you can see the props there. I don't bet on stupid books that focus on North American sports. Yes Aussie +1 was a push, but you claimed i lost my money, so what is your point?

back to the Brazil -Ghana game

It was nice to see an entertaining game, in which there was a lot of fluid passing, and both teams willing to continually go on the attack. There was also a good spirit between the two team. Makes up for the disaster of the Ukraine-Switzerland snorefest, and the Portuguese-Dutch war.

Dude if you are basing your call on Impeding progress of an opponent, do you know how many players should just be called on a foul when a defender is shielding the ball to go out for a goal kick. Is that not impeding the progress of an opponent?

I don't care much for losing money because that's essentially what gambling comes down to and I'll leave that for suckers like you.

Oh excuse me, probably one win or push in every 8 bets you make.

I have friends that use thegreek.com and it's the best sportsbook on this planet giving you every which way to gamble on a game so you'll enjoy it! ;)

i've used the Greek and when it comes to Futbol it is nowhere close to that of Betfair, Ladbrokes, Pointbet, Bet365. The Greek and Pinnacle are identical books that you can't buy or sell points in regards to futbol totals or spreads. You obviously have no idea how the gambling world works so don't even try to begin this arguement.

What the hell are you talking about? It happened inside the box! You seemed to joke about the fact that both Craig Forrest and Dick Howard agreed on the call although they have more soccer knowledge then you'll ever have, said it was the right call. Truth hurts huh?

Get over it already and cry a river with the rest of the sore losers.

Look under Fouls 2. "Impeding the Progress of an Opponent"
Wow. Thanks for so quickly confirming that you don't know what you're talking about.

If you'll look, the section you cite applies to fouls that result in indirect free kicks. As I already tried to explain to you, a pk is awarded only for fouls that result in direct free kicks - if the foul happens in the area. So as I told you, the pk yesterday was incorrectly awarded.

If any call should have been made, it should have been for an indirect free kick inside the area, and even that would've been a soft call.

I'd suggest you consider forming a comedy duo with Franky66, as your collective "knowledge" of the game is quite funny...but every act needs a straight man.

Those other books blow trust me because they don't offer open parlay's when in fact I know a lot of people who've made thousands with open parlays that the greek (formerly Olympic Sports) offer! Next you're going to tell me parlays are for suckers right? I've seen the proof for myself so don't even go there!

By the way, you assume I don't know anything about gambling? Lol, I've seen suckers like yourself go rock bottom for years gambling their life savings away so again, don't even go there!

Yeah I guess Dick Howard or Craig Forrest are wrong also! :p

You see moron, the foul happened within the penalty area so I guess the ref was on drugs too like yourself? lol

Sorry about your luck, maybe in another 4 years. Not so lucky this time huh jackson? LOL
