Again Joy, where is what I have said shown bias? By asking that she be allowed to speak on the subject without repercussions? I would say the same for any person who has worked in the said agency, or who has any inside knowledge. You my dear should really enroll in a remedial English class, or at least learn the meanings of the words you use before spitting them out.

I may be wrong but based on my observation I believe Joy looks down on the escorting industry.

Ask for IDs if you're not sure.
Don't use Agencies that have given you any reason to believe they are supporting underage prostitution or forced prostitution.
Don't support Strip clubs with known pimping (mainly due to lack of licensing required for employment)
Lastly, don't go to strip clubs for sex.
This much I agree with you on.

I think even more accurate would be "Can you think of a reason why a man who admits he is haunted each day by the loss of his own child and feels guilt at not being there to protect his family (I believe he was in the services at the time) might become enraged to read about a child being victimized in such a manner?"
It's probably more telling that he got into law as a practice as I would guess that he has a fairly strong personal belief in right and wrong as black and white concepts and that something like this horrible situation would very much violate those values.
I really believe this should not be a discussion about any other former terb member than the accused. Michael made a decision and though I hope he wakes up today and realizes he might be more effective in making change and raising awareness as a participating member I think it's only fair to respect his choice and get back to the topic at hand.
That was the most polite telling off that I have ever seen.

All I can say is WOW. Shit hitting fan. Lets face it, anyone on this board could be in the same situation. What if it came out that Daphne was 16 and Mirage was fronting minors. not that this is the case but who really knows, your at the mercy of the Agency? Unless their was a sting and actual phone calls were taped, no one should worry about solicitation (the actual fucking is legal). They advertised that the girl was 18 so anyone who was with this girl has an out. The accusations against Sheik in the SUN comments are pretty strong and should probably be responded to, but i doubt that will happen (speaks to credibility of this forum).

Solicitation would not be the problem but being found in a bawdy house might. I don't know if one can be "found" retroactively by means of surveillance cameras or testimony.

For me this is another, very sad example of how the bawdy house law drives the incall business into a gray (or even black) area. This makes it impossible for clients to give LE a heads up without incriminating themselves. I am surprised that so far nobody has commented on that aspect.

You make a good point. It wouldn't stop it but it would sure slow this kind of shit down.

Wrong. The law in this case is pretty harsh, it specifically says that your believing she was 18 is no defense, that is written right into the act.

You only have an out if you took "all reasonable steps" to determine her age. If you didn't so much as ask to see her ID they can throw the book at you. Saying "I heard it from some pimp that she was 18" is going to make the judge laugh.

Maybe it's not fair but that is the current law.

If you were a customer of 4play and you fucked this girl then you should probably worry.

Can we all take a step back from the keyboards and settle down?

The accusations in the comments section of the Sun story are vile attacks on this board and various moderators with absolutely NO facts to back them up.

There are obviously several agendas in play, and running around spreading unsubstantiated gossip, lies and accusations is not going to help anyone.

What is the First Rule of "Fight Club"? Why are we discussing, attacking and defending on the SUN site? Such behavior cannot help this community.

We all agree that underage prostitution is a terrible thing, and that the police and the court system is the proper way to deal with that issue.

Given the glaring spotlight that it is about to be turned on to the industry, I strongly suggest that everyone simmer down, and that the agencies and TERB should get together and have a unified response to the brewing shitstorm. A press release might be a good way to start.

Absolutely. It may feel uncomfortable but the alternative is much much worse.

But here's the dilemma. Who and how do you ask? What SP is going to show you her real name, and moreover her ID?
Since is aint illegal I see not reason not to.

There is a real conundrum here.

On the one hand SP's have very good reasons not to want to reveal their real names to their customers. Some guys become stalkers. Refusing to reveal a real name affords an SP very real protection from some dangerous customers.

On the other hand the law insists that customers take "all reasonable steps" to determine the age of an SP. That would presumably mean viewing her ID and learning (a) her real name, and probably (b) her home address.

The real long-run solution is to legalize the industry fully and have licensed establishments that have strict protocols for checking ID. Maybe even have the city issue licenses to escorts that can be used for proof of age but obscure real names and addresses for safety.

At any rate it's a real problem. The best I can come up with is if you have any doubt whatsoever simply walk away.

Well there is a reason why many hide their faces on sites and/or don't use their real names.

Not arguing your point but it is a reality of the industry.
I know it is and that is something we all need to think about.
