May be the only current solution.
Not a solution if you suspect she is either under age or in danger. Could you live with yourself if you did nothing?

I understand what you're saying. But I'm talking about the grey area. An SP is advertised as 25, you show up and she may be 18 or even 17. You're just not sure. What do you do papasmerf?

I ask for ID

If she will not comply I thank her and tell her to leave. Then turn her info over to the police.

What do you do?

You're right, but a statement from the mods would help ease a lot of members' concerns (if there is one that I've missed, then my apologies).
Even if they simply state that for legal reasons they cannot respond, just give us something. Their silence pertaining to those accusations on the Sun's reader comments will cause more and more terbies to believe that terb -- and more specifically the mods identified -- are guilty of what those Sun posters accuse. I'm hoping and trusting they are wrong, but hearing it from the mods would make me feel better.
I totally agree with you on this one.

If I were accused of the same things which were totally false, I'd demand the Sun to retract those comments and issue a front page apology, to say the least.

The accusations made in the COMMENTS section of the SUN are several years old and well known to members of this community as well as to the police. If there had been any truth to the allegations, I have no doubt that the police would have acted in some manner before now.

While the comments following the Sun article allege that the Toronto Police Service turns a blind eye to what happens in this industry, the reality is that the TPS will follow up on any information that they receive about underage SP's working for an agency or about girls selling drugs etc.

As for TERB making an official announcement, I would imagine that they would be bright enough to engage counsel first before issuing any public statement. Further, I really don't know what they have to say.

The SUN should be contacted to remove the statements in the comments section, but the Sun will in no way publish an apology for something that they did not do.

Again, we all need to take a step back from the keyboard.

I don't know what I would do. And I'm being honest here. If I think she's "clearly" under age the answer is obvious in getting the police involved.

But if I don't know, what I may do is ask around, either some people I trust on TERB or with the agency if she belongs to one. Calling the police sounds like the thing to do but until you're really put in that position it's really a grey area. But I do not continue with the appointment.

what do you do the next day and her body is found in a dumpster because you did not pay her for the appointment you walked out on?

The allegations in the Sun are serious enough that I want to resign from my membership in TERB. Frankly, I feel sick.

There is no grey area in the law In-Call = illegal spin it any way you want.

As to asking an SP for ID....That ain't gonna happen!

So you have an underground industry that can't police itself, this incident as a prime example.

If there are 2 underage girls caught working in the GTA the actual number of underage SP's is probably a fairly large number.

Comp:

I guess that's true if you omit the advertising revenue generated by 4P on TERB which until recently was on-going so there are some recent accusations. Look in the mirror there is something brown on your nose.

Wonder how the former owner of 4P feels about selling to this scumbag. Does she not work for Mirage.......?

Listen, and I want to be very clear that you understand exactly what I'm saying......

I don't go around hunting for young girls or girls that are controlled by pimps. I mostly go to MPs and the odd time I see escorts. So if you want to jump on your high horse and look down on me because I actually gave you an honest answer because I've never been in that position then that's your prerogative.

So then what you're telling me is that you do or don't see escorts. Because now your morality has confused me.

Actually, I never read the sun and had no idea about these accusations.

A Very good point. In addition, they want to have a change to clearly think through the possible implications.

If the claim that the moderators owned 4play are false, I think it would be reassuring to the rest of us if they said so. I am very willing to believe that the claim is untrue but given the serious nature of a claim they own an agency involved in child prostitution, it would be reassuring to the rest of use to confirm we are not participating on a board connected with it. However, given the obvious bullshit of most of the stuff in the Sun’s comment section, I would be surprised if there was any truth to these claims.
BTW, it is not an important point, but I always thought Fred owned the board and not Sheik (as claimed in the Sun’s comments).

I am telling you I do not play games.

I am not looking down at you or anyone. You gave me a hypothetical question and I answered it and asked the same of you. When you were unable to answer one way or the other I asked you the second part of the question.

You have no need to be angry with me. I just asked you what you would do not what you have done.

BTW it is not unusual for a girl to be found dead of an overdose in the trash.

1) you are quite correct that in-calls are illegal
2) you are probably correct in assuming that there are many more under age girls in the business. There are probably a few women that are being forced to work in the industry. Which should not tar the women that have reached the age of consent that wish to be in this industry.
3) there is no mechanism for the "industry to police itself" and clearly money talks. But a number of agencies do strive to "do the right thing".
4) given that The SUN, NOW, EYE, and TERB do not go around and check on each of their advertisers, I'm not really sure what your point is. An allegation, not yet proven in court, has come up and TERB has acted quickly.
5) I have nothing on my nose. I have simply stated a number of facts regarding the allegations made against TERB and a number of individuals and agencies.
6) The "she" you referred to left the industry shortly after her <agency, Playground, was dissolved>. She worked with Mirage for a short period but retired and left Toronto.

Again, I see that the people that hate TERB as well as this industry and the people in it are taking this opportunity to launch attacks.

<sorry, foggy memory, had to clear up that last point>

It's not a game. Please answer if you wish. Do you see escorts. And if you do, what age range do you see?
I have and will again
30 and up is my preference.

No attack here just asking questions.

You may want to check your facts, unless I am mistaken Mirage did not purchase 4P
