I think the problem here isn't the type of door but that the back door was unlocked so could be easily opened.
The people who complain about the militarization of police are idiots. Origins of police forces are from the military. They've always used military equipment and uniforms going back to their origins. Police forces like Toronto that wear red stripes on their pants get it from the army tradition. Red means infantry. The RCMP wears a yellow stripe because yellow designates cavalry. The red serge is the colour it is because the British got along reasonably well with the native population, so they wanted to build on that goodwill by copying their appearance.
The U.S. has a law that the military cannot be called in to deal with domestic disturbances unless the President deems it necessary. I think the 101st Airborne has been called at least twice. Little Rock and Mississippi.

Hey Kirk, still wondering if you have stats as to how much an armed guard in the school helped cut down on mass shootings in Toronto schools. You said that it had been effective here.

These stats are based on 2020, a year dominated by millions of BLM/Antifa rioters, protesters and looters. Culminating in the largest number of protests (and the most violent) in US history.



Resulting in dozens of deaths of protesters BY protesters; tens of thousands of arrests; 2000 injured police officers - many seriously; one Federal officer assassinated in Oakland CA while protecting a federal building; billions of dollars in property damage; hundreds of arsons; dozens of federal buildings/court offices/police stations vandalized/set on fire/destroyed; the deployment of over 60,000 National Guard; plus Federal agents (FBI, DEA, US Marshals, DHS) to at least ten cities; the implementation of “lawless (CHOP) zones” in numerous cities that enabled violence, sexual assaults and murders.



So the results of this very focused study is hardly surprising lol. It’s a gross understatement to say, the leftwing kept US Law Enforcement very busy in 2020.

Question 1: Did all the calls to defund and demilitarize the police render them unequipped to act effectively in this situation?

Question 2: Who are the people demanding the police be defunded and demilitarized?

And do any of them think using a low power semi-auto is more accurate?

I don't know what kind of hunters you know but the ones I know pride themselves in being able to take down their target with a single shot. Bolt actions are on average more accurate and any hunter deserving of the name doesn't need to unload with a semi-auto to kill their game.


Semi-auto might be my choice against a charging polar bear but even still, I'd want rounds larger than the 5.56.
