    University Avenue Shutdown

People are worried of pandemic. People are tires of the ineffective measures that government imposes try to address it. If it does not work - stop it. Yet, the government refuses to acknowledge that most of the measures were ineffective and unnecessary and continue with them to safe the face...

What? Again? Being vaccinated has nothing to do with being pro-mandates

    University Avenue Shutdown

A time to change the policy and the leader for Liberals? As I remember, people voted for there MPs, not PM.

You would be surprised, but it is more of a party atmosphere there. Add hot chocolate ad beavertail stands, and it will be like Winterlude.

Don't you thing 30% is a large enough share of population for PM not only to acknowledge them but also to do something to address their concerns? Protests usually happen when the government refuses to listen to a sizeable minority of its people.

First there was "The Dr Seuss Outrage", now the "M & M's Outrage"!!!!

Yes, I would say the same thing: a violent protest with property destruction and stealing (although in BLM it was merchandise while in Capitol case it was "souvenirs") not a coup.

Check this traffic map for Ottawa: https://traffic.ottawa.ca/beta/en Literally, only a few blocks are affected by demonstration. Everywhere else life is normal. Yes, people living in these blocks (not many as there are not many residential buildings there) may be unhappy. But not as many as the...

Yep, I am with you on this one. It was not a coup nor an insurrection. Just a bunch of idiots who want to shout, get in a fight, and show themselves how tough they are. Calling it a coup is not just a gross exaggeration, it is simply wrong.

So do I. But not when they simply say something. This is why BLM and Jan 6 Capitol events were of the same sort and equally bad. Unlike Freedom Convoy which mostly traffic and noise inconvinience.

yea, Toronto may be different, but it is Toronto problem. Mobility in Ottawa downtown now (with protests) is still better than in Toronto downtown on a regular day :)

So, storming the Capitol was an official U.S. government action? You mean some U.S. official gave an order to his subordinates who had to follow it because they were government employees? But, please, do not let facts to stay on the way of your truth.

There are no hospitals in downtown Ottawa. Outside of downtown core (a few blocks) life is normal.

Send? Really? There was a government order? Regular police/military were a part of that violent protests? Whom exactly of the protesters the president was a commander?

Do you always believe what people are shouting? I guess, we need to arrest lots of hockey/football/etc. fans for conspiracy to kill the referees. If these supremacists and militia were so serious, why the only causalities were among the protesters? Some coup... You Liberals want to use big...

You mean there will be no police car at the time of towing? Wow, even I do no assume the police is so incompetent. How about a simpler answer: blue-colour working people are tired of this COVID-measures shit. They want their life back with drinking beer, doing their regular job, and not having to...

No, you have a very low bar for a definition of a coup. If a policemen can stop the coup even without taking his gun out, it is not a coup.

And a bunch of drunk Americans forcing themselves through Canadian border crossing is an invasion and an act of war. Yea, right.
