I think the top 5 is bang on. I would probably move Pastrnak higher, perhaps even to 6. Given Matthews subpar play last year he should be closer to #10. If Barkov weren't so injury prone he'd easily be in my top 10. A great two way forward who is a creator.

Mitch is the antithesis of Connor. Leafs couldn't keep Hyman at $5.5 mill cap hit. The type of player Treliving is trying to build the rest of the team with.
No need to apologize. He would not have taken a discount with the Leafs and Leafs would have had the same issues as before. Top heavy with no depth. Leafs could do what Florida did last season and fill their holes in March. They have cap flexibility. Florida takes discounts as an aggregate.

Dorofeyev plays on the 2nd line and 1st PP unit same way Leafs utilize Nylander.
He's also their 2nd shooter on the shootout and he scored.
Marner was the 3rd and last shooter for Vegas in the shootout. He missed and LA won.
McD missed his shootout. Kadri last shooter in shootout and he scores.
So both Vegas and Edmonton lose their home opener.

I thought the Leafs GM would do more this past summer. Lots of players available. He just filled jerseys thats it. He should have picked up Evander Kane.
