There will be consequences to most if not all EU members plusIn the longer run Russia will be able to impose conditions on Ukraine and will thus incur a much lower cost of defending the eastern border. It will be able to pivot those resources to the Finnish border where Finland has decided it wants to be a threat to Russia after decades of peaceful neutrality. There will definitely be consequences for the Finns. It was a very stupid move.
the UK who have sent military aid to Ukraine to kill Russians. I think
Canada will be fine though not withstanding Trudeau's stupidity
of giving away billions to Zelensky.
Russians are known for their hospitality to visiting guests. What is
perhaps lesser known to today's Europeans is that Russian people
also excels in exacting revenge on enemies. NATO minus the
U.S. will have to shore up military defence big time and pray that
Ukraine will never ever turn against them. They (Ukrainians and Russians)
hate each other for centuries and the west has exploited that
hatred to the fantistic result of having hundreds of thousands of
Slavs killed. They might have forgotten though the two people
are also closely tied to each other. They fought Charles XII
together in the 18th century, Napoleon 19th century and
of course Hitler in the last century. It is not unthinkable they
will end up fighting NATO together at some point in this century.
