You're implying that there is a correlation and there isn't any.

The same way there is no correlation between the gender of the pilot and their qualifications to fly the plane.

If whoever was flying was fast tracked to get their licence or command for any other reason other than merit.

There is no "fast tracking" in aviation.
They take safety, skills and qualifications very, very seriously.
I am not a pilot.
But I wanted to get a private pilot license.
I was learning a little about what it took and came across people talk about their check rides and people get failed for all kinds of reasons.
I dont know where people acquired this idea that someone can be fast tracked or their skills overlooked.
This is simply not true.
PS: I am not talking about pilot misbehaviour or bad performance during a flight after they qualify though. That cannot be predicted.

It was the woman pilot with less than an yrs experience who flew the plane. It's not like being a 1'st year lawyer, where if you make a mistake, it won't kill anyone. These DEI pilots have the potential to kill passengers due to their inexperience!!
