Well, the US constitution disagrees with you.
You go from “they have no rights” to some BS stat you just made up. You’re the joke here so if you’re laughing it must be at yourself.
Even hardcore rightie legal scholar Turley says AOC is well within her 1st Amendment rights to educate people on the constitution.
Most people want the illigal immigrants out. Even people who voted Democrat said the border crisis had gotten out hand. AOC might not have broken rules by doing this but she’s going against the mandate of the citizens of the US who have to deal with the migrants and pay for them. It’s not a good look by AOC to do this. Not a good look at all.

The congresswoman has drawn Tom Homan’s ire for sharing information about unconstitutional search and seizure.

Rep. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez isn’t backing down as President Donald Trump’s “border czar” Tom Homan keeps threatening to have the Department of Justice investigate her.
During not one but two Fox News appearances on Monday, Homan said the deputy attorney general was “looking into” whether the Democratic lawmaker had “crossed a line” and was “aiding and abetting” criminal activity.
Since last week, Homan has repeatedly called for the DOJ to come after Ocasio-Cortez for sharing information with her constituents about the Constitution’s Fourth Amendment prohibition on unreasonable searches and seizures.
“Go ahead. Let the people see you for what you are,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote on the social media platform Bluesky in response to his latest attacks.

The courts have held that all law enforcement—including ICE officers—can only enter private property and employee-only business areas with permission or with a valid search warrant signed by a judge. They must also have probable cause to arrest, according to the ACLU.
ICE’s own website says everyone is entitled to due process, and that it focuses on removing criminals and public safety threats.
Last week, the Ocasio-Cortez held a webinar explaining the rules. She then posted a bilingual guide on social media with advice for how to handle an encounter with ICE.
During yet another Fox News appearance, Homan warned on Thursday that she could be in “trouble” for educating her constituents on their rights.
“Maybe he can learn to read,” Ocasio-Cortez shot back the next day. “The Constitution would be a good place to start.”
Speaking to Sean Hannity on Monday, Homan said the whole “constitutional rights” argument was just pretext.
“Yeah, you can call it that. But we all know what she’s up to,” he said. “She wants to tell these people how to evade arrest, how to evade ICE.”
He then accused her of helping keep convicted child sex predators and rapists on the streets of her district. Convicted rapists, of course, are the subject of valid arrest warrants and would be taken into custody either way.
Regardless, Homan has asked the DOJ whether he can “take action” against people like Ocasio-Cortez, he told Hannity.
“We’re looking for that clear direction so we can start taking action on people who want to help educate these people to evade ICE,” he said.
He was also apparently still smarting from her previous comment that he should learn to read.
“She’s the dumbest congresswoman ever elected to Congress,” he ranted in an interview with Newsmax on Monday. “She proves that every day.”
“That’s why you fight these cowards,” Ocasio-Cortez responded on X. “The moment you stand up to them, they crumble. Homan has nothing… He can threaten me with jail and call names all he wants. He’s got nothing else.”

I guess it depends on what you consider a “good look” but to many of us the view of AOC giving the middle finger to Trump and his “Border Tsar” is a powerful image.
Anyway…undocumented persons do in fact have legal rights just like anyone else in the US. It doesn’t mean they can’t be deported but it needs to be done legally which seems the antithesis of all Trump stands for. Trump just wants a parade of cruelty captured daily on the news.
You say most of us but you have nothing to base this on. Most of the people here in New York aren’t opposing this. It’s not about cruelty. ICE is going after only people who broke the law. If it weren’t, they could just go to any protest and scoop hundreds of them up at once. We don’t want citizens who broke the law walking among us and we especially don’t want illigals who broke the law freely walking around.
America is really not doing well. We don’t have time to have empathy anymore. Maybe you guys in Canada could do better if we transferred the couple million to you? It would be awesome if you would take these poor little law breakers and showed them compassion instead of just telling your neighboring country to stop being so mean.
I have never understood this part of ICE’s mandate. What law did these people break? And if they did break the law then why did the court’s release them?
Section 237 of the Immigration and Nationality act. Basically undocumented immigrants who have committed aggravated felonies, crimes of moral terpitude, or a national security risk by being part of gang or terrorist group.
There would be lots of legal hurdles if they tried to deport anyone else.
I say it’s not a good look because she is basically protecting criminals. If some citizen assaulted some old guy and stole his money, and then AOC went on tv and told him not to speak to the police or open the door, would that be a good look?

Under Obama the majority had their case denied and they were deported.
Often if they had a relative they'd be released from detention until their day in court. It was cheaper. If they failed to report they were subject to immediate arrest and deportation.
The system was working fine, needed some tweaks, and fewer folks at the border all together.
Trump decided they needed to use cruelty to send a message to would be migrants in his first term.
Biden had some floods as those migrants said they heard the border was open (it wasnt, but they heard it on Fox news). Biden did fuck up by not making it a priority. They finally started getting it under control but needed congressional help as they control the purse strings. They got a tough bipartisan bill written by a very conservative senator which would have helped a lot but Trump wanted to run on that issue so he told the Rs to kill their own bill. And like the cowards they are, they did.
There was a huge backlog, now made worse by cutting 20 judges.
