Yes.
They have apparently gone in and stolen money directly from New York State or city accounts.
(It's a little unclear.)

Money that was legally appropriated by Congress and spent by the Federal government was then just removed from accounts it seems.
So... not great.
As we have been discussing, this appears to be illegal and unconstitutional.

No charges have been filed.
That's a civil lawsuit by Bondi/DOJ.
Not a DOGE thing, so not an audit.

There are no audits.
Musk is reading the website Obama put in and making wild claims about what he thinks that means.

(While also getting his coders into the machines and taking control of government payments illegally.)
There's different types of audits. You might be reading that these are not audits. However, you should consider the source........like always.

And the conflict between the people who want autocracy and those who don't is ongoing.
We agree.
And the conflict between the people who want the autocracy failed socialist experiment to continue and those who don't is ongoing.
your problem is democracy stepped up and decided the issue via the election.

Wasteful / irresponsible govt spending has to stop and stop right now or the debt bomb will explode, with catastrophic implications for every one
Why you are willing to ignore this mathematical certainty is strange, as you are intelligent enough to understand it.

the only logical explanation is you wish to see socialism emerge victorious via the route of anarchy (AKA Russia 1917)
if there is another rational why you choose to ignore the debt bomb, please enlighten us ?

Who did they vote in to run the country?
Trump and the GOP.
The question is whether or not those votes should be considered a mandate for autocracy or not.
Say what you will about the American system, it is built with many veto points and bottlenecks.
And only a fool would think "well, there was one vote, so it is done now" is good citizenship.

Indeed.
The fact that no one should think Elon Musk and Trump aren't lying given their histories means I am very aware of the source in these situations.
Only a complete fool wouldn't view anything they said with bucketloads of suspicion.

Yup, there are different reasons why those 77M people voted for Trump and the GOP.
But MAGA seem to want to hijack their votes and pretend that ALL 77M of them wanted mass deportations, ending of DEI or gutting of federal agencies etc.

Musk already admitted in that Oval Office press conference that he has said wrong things about what DOGE is finding and will be saying more going forward.
Trump has never even pretended not to lie constantly, has he?

That's not really new though.
"We barely won but let's pretend like it is a crushing mandate" is an approach that's been around for a while.

"We need transparency and accountability in government spending!" - says everyone

Trump brings unprecedented transparency and accountability to the federal government.

Response: "Orange Man bad!"

Shaquille just figured out that political parties are built on coalitions. There is always a difficult balancing of priorities.

Many of the things the Biden Administration did were not widely or deeply popular.
