yeah, good luck to them trying to sell their flip flops on the election campaign trail

" we intentionally made life more expensive for you for a decade' but we now need to unravel our work because of trump
Exactly, lots of hate towards Trump, but definitely he has given a much needed jolt to Canada, to fix borders, drug problem, drug mafia, Chinese influence, look more opportunities, Mining. In a way it is good.

I sense there is a fear here that Trump will influence Canadian politics. Not by intervening, but simply by example.

The worst thing to happen for the Liberals is for Canadians to assess 2015-2025 while peeking over the border.

I think it's better to get a good location down by the beach. Sell some sandals too, add tanning lotions, etc.

Now you're throwing a temper tantrum.

Canada isn't here for his ego. We'll let you and Danielle Smith worry about that.

He came after Team Canada and he folded.

You can claim analysis all you want, but you supported Smith cutting backdoor deals with Trump which undermined the efforts of all other provinces. That's the straight truth.

It played out the exact opposite way you thought it would. Standing together on a dollar-for-dollar counter was the right move.
Danielle Smith was smart enough to haggle with Trump...she knew Trump don't want the oil supply of Alberta to be closed for the US... YOu can sleep at night now knowing Trump is happy with the outcome and Canada dodged a 25% tariff... that's what happens when you are willing to sit down and talk it over... retaliatory tariff would've been a disaster...whoever advised Trudeau to talk to Trump and show he's sincere to keep the offer deserves a promotion.

How does one paint defiantly? Were they told not to paint and defied the command? SMH.

Definitely. You're welcome.
The use of the word defiantly is completely appropriate in JL's post.

You could apologize, delete your comment or dig in. You can choose to have a reasonable conversation.

I'll have to put away the popcorn. Hope Johnny Larue didn't make a mess of his pants.

Trudeau victorious.

Americans don't know Canadian one-liners.

:ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: Smart enough to haggle? If it was up to her we'd have 10% tariffs on exports.

The province's got the Tariffs pushed back. Guess she should have showed up to sign the agreement pack, huh? Ended up on the wrong side of the argument. Fucking Traitor.

Now she looks stupid kissing Trump's ass for a whole week and then getting left out in the cold during inauguration.

Retaliatory tariffs made Trump fold.

Team Canada

Trump started a spark that could turn into a SoCal fire.

Trudeau victorious.
This is the optics I don't like.

Trudeau originally ran. It was Ford that got everyone on the same page.

Do you get the impression that Washington D.C. is just one big slush fund that just funnels massive sums to more than specious organizations around the U.S. and the world?
I would be happy with a Federal government that focused more on the safety net and defense.
Not really?
I mean, USAID is less than 1% of the Federal budget, probably closer to 0.5%.

That really doesn't seem excessive to me.

When a child is disobedient, it's not uncommon for their parent to make idle threats as a means to elicit compliance. In politics, this tactic is called Brinksmanship.

John F. Kennedy once said "When I tell Canada to do something, I expect Her to obey".

I'll believe the tariffs if and when they are actually imposed.

What example did you have in mind?....

The heavy use of bronzer?

Or the continual litigation losses in Federal court?
