Tariffs on Canada delayed for 30 days. Edit: Trump folds again. 90 day pause.

The new intelligence directive backed by a 200 million dollar pledge wasn't mentioned. Either was the number of 10k frontline personal.
Ummmm....how many front line border people do you think we have? Nearly 17,000. See, this gives you apologists wiggle room to pretend that Trump was actually successful. Well played, Trudeau, well played....

If you look at how the stock market tanked yesterday morning, you understand why Trump folded like a cheap suit. For those who think he didn't....what did he actually get? The $1.3B was announced last year (well, December). The only new thing was a new fentanyl drug czar. Trump didn't get to annex us. He didn't get any concessions on allowing US banks up here, or increase the amount of American agriculture. So....let's call a spade a spade. Trump blinked. He knew the disastrous effect the tariffs would have on the US economy, and he made the sensible decision to back down. Of course @mitchell76 and his ilk need to pretend that Trump won. Hell, we should all pretend he did. That would probably stop future bullshit....

But, I'll say this: Trudeau was great. He should still GTFO Ottawa ASAP, but he handled theses negotiations expertly. He was actually a unifier for the country.
They import 13% of their products to canada, they would have treated it like a speed bump.

They implemented the border agreement which they were hoping trump would not enforce, he did. Trudeau FAFO. You all think trump caved because of our tariff threat, 75% of our exports go to usa while 13% of theirs come here. They would have shrugged this off while we were panicking for months. 🤣🤣😂😂
So what about all this talk about USA subsidizing Canada for 200 billions a year which is very unfair to USA?
it’s all fair and good now? 😂😂😂😂 that $200 billion is not an issue anymore? 😂😂😂😂

You better tell Justin we have 17k already then...He doesn't seem to know that...Or is this an additional 10k Canada is adding?
Please ask Justin to clarify and get back to us.

You also never addressed the 200 million pledged for the new intelligence directive that was added in.

13% is a pretty big #. (And it's EXport, not IMport).

And I bet they import and export a fuck load more to and from Mexico.

And everything they import from Canada increases in price 25%. Together with any production chain products made from Canadian sourced components or raw materials.

The cumulative effect is fuck-normous. That's why the stock market crashed.

There was no agreement. Trudeau made the offer, Trump started crying about Trade deficits, we said we'll hit you back with Tariffs as well, Trump folded and agreed to our initial offer.

Here it is from Dec.

Do you think we magically have more agents at the board now? Nothing has changed.

Trump accepted the "fluff" deal he could have accepted a month ago.
He wasn't president a month ago....he's the POTUS now...and he wanna make sure everyone delivers what he asked for...I mean...it's good if Canada delivers....it benefits both parties to secure the borders and NO TARIFFS...

Speaking 3 languages and speaking 3 languages well are two different things. Maybe get good at one first before you try to learn others. I still recommend spell check for you based on how often you make mistakes.;)
