Is There Anything Trump Won’t Blame on DEI?

I think there should be better systems. Clearly it hasn’t helped the broader black population. Everything the democrats did just made it worse except for a select few. Even afirmitive action for Ivy leagues. They found most of the blacks admitted were just rich black kids from Africa.

Come up with solutions to make society better. Instead of sitting there calling people racist.
The reality is that if the broader black population does not succeed starting in grade school, there's no overlay solution that's going to do much for the population.

I had been generally supportive affirmative action at some level, but it became a quota system in all areas and echelons of American life. Standards were tinkered with to allow for DEI successful outcomes. Even all the big, institutional DEI programs and their employment ranks became a bizarre manifestation.

On the flip side, in the recent past there were labor unions that were as white as could be with minorities and women left on the outside.

Back at ya' then.

You say they should be helped. What specific things should be done? What better systems do you propose? How would they be better? Just saying that they should be helped is very nebulous and means nothing.
It is nebulous but we did use them to build America and most of the them are stuck in drug, crime infested areas as a result of being second class citizens until the 60s. I don’t know what would work, but what I’m saying is don’t do something stupid like DEI or affirmative action. DEI is nebulous too. It opens up a Pandora’s box of shit people coming out and asking for handouts.

I have been hearing the air traffic controllers were very understaffed in Washington D.C. and were short-handed the night of the crash.

It's possible with the Biden/Buttigieg obsession with DEI that DEI objectives were interfering with properly staffing controllers. You're not ever going to get a straight answer because the Federal govt. works to protect its own.

I agree with your sentiment. However, we know there are low-skilled jobs particularly in government and union shops that pay decent with great benefits. Affirmative action was a good thing in that in opened up these jobs to everyone other than a bunch of white people.

It also got the good ol' boy network in corporate America to open up their doors to people who didn't look and sound like them. Does that mean I think every board should have one female director and one black director? Probably not.

That’s a possibility. The low skilled jobs would work. The trouble comes when you try to force people who are not qualified to do those jobs - which you acknowledged. I think we tried to implement to much of the later.

Equality of opportunity yes...Equality of outcome no.
Exactly as I predicted. Parker says that they deserve help and you say, "fuck that we're not giving them any help". But the billionaires need help lowering their taxes. And the businesses need help lowering wages healthcare costs and crushing unions. But damn if we're going to help the minorities.

This why even if the liberal options are flawed, it's next to impossible to vote right wing. They don't give a shit about the common man.

You don't know what systems should be improved and how. But you DO know that left-wing systems like DEI and affirmative need to be eliminated.

So you know lots about criticisms but nothing about solutions. I call that selective intelligence that works against anything progressive.

That's why it's always easier to be the opposition and criticize as opposed to being the decision makers.

Affirmative Action was never formally codified into Federal law. An Executive Order by President Nixon was issued to open up minority hiring by Federal contractors. It actually challenged the power of unions to segregate.

I think the reason that AA is not codified is the question of what are the magic numbers in employment, admissions and any outcome. You might say we don't need no stinkin' magic number. Exactly would be my response. However, modern DEI initiatives have implicitly created mandates.

Curious to me, most states that have banned affirmative action are blue states including the State of California. I would speculate that when affirmative action is applied aggressively in blue states, voters push back. Having said that, that doesn't mean affirmative action in those states doesn't practically exist. Some of these states have state institutions that find other subtle methods to accomplish the "diversity" they deem necessary.

From a historical perspective and contrary to your politicized common man concern, there was bipartisan support for The Civil Rights Act of 1964.
The Civil Rights Act of 1964 is a landmark civil rights and labor law in the United States that outlaws discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, and national origin. It prohibits unequal application of voter registration requirements, racial segregation in schools and public accommodations, and employment discrimination.

10 CATASTROPHES THE RIGHT HAS TRIED TO BLAME ON ‘DEI’
No matter what goes wrong in America these days, President Trump and MAGA world have the same wrong, racist explanation

The extremist views expressed by Musk and his pet Trump is feeding way too much of misinformation, and no wonder that the DEI is being blamed even under Trump's watch for all the mishaps!!

Sure smells like a DEI hire.

Lobach's service extended beyond the military – she was a certified victim advocate with SHARP, the Army's Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention program, and a Biden's White House military social aide.

I have experienced them and they force hiring of sub par talent and cause division in the group. If it doesn’t work it doesn’t need to be there. It makes no sense keeping a flawed system. Eliminate it rather than try to fix the same broken system. This is what I have always said and this is exactly what Trump is doing.

It’s not even worth getting into what works and what doesn’t.

Why is this so hard to understand.

As I thought with your posts in the other thread. So, it wasn't the fault of the two white guys in the helo with her, just her fault?

I'm just saying... a 28 year old white girl with 500 in flight hours who's also a Biden's aide and a sexual assault defender... don't see too many of those even driving a bus or a truck, let alone pilot a Blackhawk helicopter

I'll agree with some of this. The hard yakka was getting those kids early as possible so that by the time theyre ready to work or uni, theyre good. By not doing this, and instead using programs skip that part, and try to even up at the end, often hurts these kids because they get tracked into a higher education zone than they may be able to handle.

The Australian schools are all paid for by the state. In USA it's the local taxes that covers the most cost, so the difference in schools in rich districts VS poor in USA is huge. Negligible in Oz. I don't know how Canada funds it's public schools.

The interesting thing in the USA is the African American immigrant groups tend to do better than the native born and raised African Americans.

I have a better analysis for you:

- crew chief (on board mechanic) 29 year old man

- instructor pilot with 1000 hour flight hours - 39 year old man

- pilot of the blackhawk with 500 hour flight hours - 28 year old woman

39 year old - 1000 hrs
28 year old- 500 hrs

An average flight lasts an hour or less and flights don't happen every day, so how long do you suppose it takes to accumulate such experience?

Did she start at 22? 23? 24? As a most qualified candidate I suppose?

And just to clarify, I'm not saying this to be cruel. She lost her life and so did 66 other people. It's a tragedy.

Did the "Instructor Pilot" give her the final instructions prior to the collision?
