Or......

It was ordered, they only realized the optics after, and the limo company is covering for them.

I think it's funny, yet at the same time shows how his privilege is showing.
Privilege?

Outstanding academic record, gave up massive income opportunity at Goldman Sachs to work in finance ministry, then runs the Bank of Canada and the first non-Englishman to run the Bank of England before chairing two massively successful companies in Brookfield and Bloomberg.

He earned it.

You can attack policies, as I differ on many things with him, but in terms of actual accomplishment lets lose the stupid comments when the alternative is a guy nobody in Canada or elsewhere would hire to do anything.

The snowboard instructor left us in a non ideal place because experience and intelligence matter, but the Conservative equivalent on the other side can't hold a candle to Carney on actual achievement.

Again I differ with him on many things but Mark Carney is a heavyweight in real business circles while Poilievre, Trudeau, Freeland, etc are .... not.

At least Freeland has an education but not too much real world success.

Poilievre has done literally nothing in his life of any substance.

I'd like to see what Carney wants to DO vs SAY which is our current problem, but lets not look completely ridiculous with the bs.

I applaud his financial accomplishments but how does that make him qualified to run our country? He should be finance minister, not prime minister.

If you don't think he has only run in privileged circles for decades you aren't paying attention. It changes perspective.

I'm getting some "I know what's good for you" vibes from him. And yes that matters as a politician.

Do I think he will take the Liberal Leadership? Probably. I think the fix is in.

And if you think he "sacrificed" to be a Central Banker you don't know how it works. I have no doubt he made millions on the side. Through insider trading. And then yes after as a reward for his Central Banker time.

I'm happy to discuss policy. From a world wide perspective the existing Neo-Liberal agenda is waning. Too much income inequality is causing a public shift to a more isolationist mindset.

There are many historical parallels to 1900-1925 and the last 25 years occuring that is making this shift happen. Carney's ideas are not going to resonate with the public. And no matter who is in place right now the Liberal Party is done for this cycle. He does not have the charisma to change that.

Business circles are not the nation.

But PeePee has no accomplishments, he's never had a real job and after 20 years in politics he's got a pension and zero accomplishments.
He even had to take foreign money to frame Patrick Brown just to win the conservative leadership.

Yet he's still better than a rapist drama teacher that has worn blackface more times than he can remember and thinks it's a good idea to do karaoke in a hotel lobby at the Queen's funeral. Some how I think we'll be ok. 🤷‍♂️

At the moment he is running the tightest messaging in a campaign in decades. Notice how no stupid mavericks have mentioned abortion, religion, other stupidity? He has a tight reign on the caucus. Only his handpicked people with specific instructions have spoken to the press and in Question Period.

He could get 50% of the vote. In a 6 party election that's huge.

And he will run a centrist policy driven govt. They always do.
All he is doing is stifling his caucus from speaking their minds, very much in line with despots and more further right than previous Conservative Governments!!

For now it is near 50%, but with a new leader in The Liberal Party that lead could erode though probably not enough for him to form a Government!!

He does not have the balls to speak out against Danielle Smith's stance as to the tariffs!!

CBC says that the rental company took a name and phone number, that's it.
They screwed up.

That said, people are figuring out who did it.

Wonder whether Butler will now consider it to be a Conspiracy Theory? 😁

But he at one time also worked for The Rebel news:

Explains how they engage and add fuel to the Conspiracy theories!!

Now Trudeau is supposed to be a "rapist"? What is the source of your "news"? Please Post, as this is the first time I have come across such an allegation!!
The only convicted sexual assaulter that was tantamount to being rape (as it had all the hallmarks of it ticked off) is a certain President Elect from down South!!

He has, in fact unified the caucus.

Seems to me the Liberals could use use a healthy dose of that.

I get it though, you see the grim writing on the Liberal tombstone.

Unified them by stifling their freedom to express their opinions in public!!
The Liberals are at least more transparent, though they screwed up with Freeland's resignation and the manner in which she did so.
Well Trudeau was in power for almost 10 years. Canadians always wants change and we saw that under similar circumstances with Harper.
We had enough of him in 2015!! So what's your point, as I'm being realistic about the present political climate?

Unified them with strong leadership. Vs where the Liberals are now.

You need to be realistic to 10 years of Conservatives in power.

Not surprised. JT spent millions to bury the story. It happened in Kokonee BC and the woman took a payout and signed an NDA so good luck finding the story now but it is well known and the reason he stopped being a 'drama teacher' at the private school.

...which proves once again that liberals vote with their eyes not their heads.
This is why if you lived in the US you would be a Trump voter and here you are voting for Pee Pee yet you claim it is us who don't use our heads, YEAH OK there Scooby Doo. LMAO

I don't think you know much about how competitive it is to work at a place like Goldman Sachs. Or Brookfield. Or Bloomberg.

if you happen to interact in your own business with any of the above three organizations you would have a decent level of respect for what it takes to get in there and rise above a lot of smart people.

I don't agree with those folks on a lot of things. But to suggest it's just "privilege" to win the daily dogfight to excel in all three places suggests you don't know much about how business works.

Again, there is a lot to, learn about what Carney wants to do with real power, but trying to slogan your way out of what it takes to get through those places suggests a lot about how you approach a serious conversation.

Says the guy who just proved he doesn't like people based on how they look.

At least admit it because you're not fooling anyone and are coming across as a fraud just like the rest of your looney left comrades.

LOL. "Millions on the side"

You must be joking. Do you know what even a first year achiever makes at Goldman?

Vs what the deputy minister of Finance earns in Ottawa?

Let alone what a guy at Carney's level would have earned by NOT working in Ottawa ... for all those years.

Please stop talking about things you clearly know nothing about.
