Looks like the party has abandoned Freeland. My guess the party executives had a timeline in mind to bring Carney in, and they aren’t happy with her. Anita Annd endorsing Carney pretty much nail in the coffin.

Carney hanging around Jeffrey Epstein

View attachment 402026
Epstein was an Israeli operative that was tasked with compromising and controlling the rich and famous. His mistake was that he liked his job too much and was diddling the merchandise. If he had stuck to just luring them in he would still be alive today. The story that was in the media is that he use to use 16 - 17 year old girls. This is the sanitized story they want you to believe, things have gone quiet and gone away pretty fast. It is not strange that Carney would have passed though these circles, he would be a person that they would want to control since he was the governor of the Bank of Canada as well as the Bank of England.

Jeffrey Epstein had connections with numerous high-profile individuals across various fields.

Politicians:
  • Bill Clinton – Former U.S. President, flew on Epstein’s jet multiple times; Clinton has denied any involvement in Epstein’s crimes.
  • Donald Trump – Former U.S. President, associated socially with Epstein in the 1990s and early 2000s; later distanced himself.
  • Prince Andrew – Duke of York, accused of involvement in Epstein’s crimes, particularly with Virginia Giuffre.
  • Ehud Barak – Former Israeli Prime Minister, had business and social ties to Epstein.
Business and Finance Figures:
  • Les Wexner – Billionaire behind Victoria’s Secret, had a deep financial relationship with Epstein.
  • Leon Black – Former CEO of Apollo Global Management, paid Epstein millions for tax and estate advice.
  • Glenn Dubin – Hedge fund manager with close ties to Epstein.
Scientists and Academics:
  • Stephen Hawking – Attended a conference organized by Epstein in 2006.
  • Marvin Minsky – MIT professor accused of being involved with one of Epstein’s victims.
  • Lawrence Krauss – Physicist, defended Epstein at times.
  • Noam Chomsky – Met with Epstein for discussions; has stated they were strictly academic.
Entertainment and Media:
  • Kevin Spacey – Actor, known to have flown on Epstein’s jet.
  • Chris Tucker – Actor, flew on Epstein’s plane for a charity trip.
  • Woody Allen – Filmmaker, seen with Epstein post-conviction.
  • Jean-Luc Brunel – French modeling agent linked to Epstein’s trafficking ring.
Legal Figures:
  • Alan Dershowitz – Harvard law professor, Epstein’s attorney, accused of being involved in abuse (denies allegations).
  • Ken Starr – Former U.S. Solicitor General, part of Epstein’s legal defense team.
  • Alex Acosta – Former U.S. Secretary of Labor, oversaw Epstein’s controversial 2008 plea deal as a federal prosecutor.

Mark Carney brings a wealth of financial expertise, having held key positions at both the Bank of Canada and the Bank of England. He is uniquely equipped to navigate complex economic challenges, particularly when dealing with figures like Donald Trump. With a deep understanding of the strengths and vulnerabilities of the Canadian, U.S., and global economies, Carney would be well-positioned to respond strategically, whether through targeted sanctions and tariffs or by forging critical international alliances.

In times of economic uncertainty, wouldn’t it be wiser to have a leader with the insight of a CEO who understands the challenges faced by a CFO? That is Carney’s advantage and Trump’s greatest weakness. Trump appears indifferent to economic realities, unaware of the long-term consequences of his actions. His reckless, grandiose plans could lead to disaster, burdening others with the staggering costs of his misguided policies.

He is an elitist banker at a time when people no longer want elitists in power.

Carney brings deep expertise in global financial affairs and a keen awareness of world politics. If elected, we would have a Prime Minister who truly understands the economic challenges we now face, challenges shaped by the lasting impact of the pandemic and further intensified by an American president who has recklessly imposed reciprocal tariffs on all nations through executive order.

This decision will bring world trade to a grinding halt. Nations across the globe, including the United States, will be forced to seek new trading partners and rebuild supply chains. Economic turmoil will follow, and the consequences will be severe. In such a crisis, should we not have a leader with a firm grasp of global economics?

Two centuries ago, the British Empire appointed officers from the aristocracy, men who often lacked military experience and were unfit to lead in battle. Would it not have been wiser to place experienced soldiers in command, those who understood strategy, tactics, and the full capabilities of their forces?

The same logic applies to leadership today. A Prime Minister with direct economic expertise, someone who understands the consequences of each policy decision, can work effectively with the finance department and ensure sound economic choices are made. Carney is not a leader who would blindly rely on advisors. He possesses the knowledge to assess situations independently and make informed decisions.

By contrast, Trump embodies the unqualified officer of the past, reckless, uninformed, and indifferent to the consequences of his actions. His policies will not only cripple the American economy but send shockwaves through global markets. In times of crisis, leadership matters. Do we not deserve a Prime Minister who understands the stakes and has the expertise to navigate them?

Trump isn't running to be PM. It's Pierre Poilievre. And he has Govt experience. Including ministry.

Carney has a shit ton of baggage. As will come out in the campaign. The bots are scouring the net of every Davos, Other Forum and Private speech he has given for his elitist commentary. And there will be a lot of it.

I'm sure your preference, with your portfolio, is a banker. But the mood of the nation is quite different then your own. And you need to accept that and put it into your calculus when attempting to look objectively.

And adjust your portfolio accordingly.

Btw, British officers, leading right up through WW2, which included the aristocracy, were considered the finest on the planet. Due to extensive training at school/military colleges, and a long tradition of passing on institutional knowledge. It's how they became the British EMPIRE.

But yes, they did it to maintain control over the military. And some were incompetent. They were either shuffled to garrison duties, or sent on suicide campaigns(and it they lived were no longer incompetent)

Everyone has baggage, he's still by far the best bet to make sure PeePee doesn't win.
Singh has shot himself in the foot, meanwhile.

No, Trump is not running to be Prime Minister of Canada. He is the expansionist President of the United States, seeking to weaken Canada and push it toward becoming the 51st state. Pierre Poilievre may have extensive political experience, but he is a career politician without a strong background in financial matters. Canada needs a Prime Minister who commands the confidence of its people. At this critical time, no one has stronger credentials for the role than Mark Carney, having served as Governor of both the Bank of Canada and the Bank of England. Given the dire financial state of the world, he is the right leader for these times of economic uncertainty.
