She has a constitutional right to defend Alberta's resources and a responsibility to protect jobs in Alberta. I see nothing wrong. When she speaks she is very clear and transparent. Frankly we need more intelligent politicians like her instead of the Olivia Chows and Freelands of the world.
Here's the problem.

Very few people defend against an attack by a neighbour by kneeling down and offering to suck the neighbour's dick while the neighbour kicks and punches them. Smart people fight back with whatever they have.

Assuming Trump actually goes through with this nonsense - which is debatable, unless he's encouraged by people like Smith and O' Leary - what is to stop him doubling the tariff to 50% or 150% if no one fights back????

Trump is going to be a clusterfuck for the entire world for the next 4 years. Smart people are going to make it more difficult for Trump to fuck them over. Dummies and corrupt people will grovel and suck his dick.

No one wants this shit. Just like no one wants to deal with a crazy neighbour.

lol, you are talking like this is suppose to be bad. You are probably one of these retards that believe Canada will be a 51st state.

And please watch that meeting again. Ford runs the table. Ontario runs the table. Trudeau bowed down to him.
No I'm not. Ford is all talk. I don't want to see Canada as the 51st. Ford went into hiding during the Truckers Convoy. Put in bullshit lockdowns and vaccine mandates. Didn't stand up for workers who lost their jobs and ruined small business in Ontario. When Trump was elected the first thing Ford said was that he hopes Trump remembers who his friends are.

Ford only worked 7 weeks of the last 7 months.
The rest was corporate 'fundraising' and hiding at his cottage.
No wonder he's trying to block the court ruling that demands his cabinet release their private phone records.

One good thing Trump's empty "annexation of Canada" threat has accomplished is that he has identified traitors who are in this country, all the way up to elected officials.
why did you need Trump to identify the traitors for you?
Trudeau & Gerald Butts were identified way back when they perverted our justice system in the SNC scandal
Trudeau & Gerald Butts have been putting a Globalist agenda ahead of Canadas interest since day 1

Trump prays on weakness and we have the weakest most corrupt PM in Canadian history

what did you expect when the federal govt has spent the last nine years trying to shut down Alberta's economic engine?

I have stated many times Canadians would pay a a big price for electing the moron Trudeau
His number one responsibility as PM was to hold the country together
Instead he implemented the Gerald Butts plan.

Quebec should be shitting their pants.
What will they do without the Alberta transfer payments?
You know Albertas GDP is less then 15% of Canada right? Also, you assume oil and gas will remain valuable forever. Alberta is already Americas bitch, do you think that situation will get worse or better if it leaves Canada? 🤣

And all the current government wants to do is shut it down permanently.
That's not at all what the Liberals did. Alberta is doing well—except in 2021 when the Federal government had to inject 30 billion into Alberta.

Which told us that Alberta needs to diversify!! They need to develop other sector of industry.

now you want to stock pile the "filthy product" ?

why not stock pile the energy from 'renewables' instead
Hmm,..... Oh Yeah.... you cant

And now you want the Feds to fund the purchase of 100m bbls of the "filthy product" ?
Hmm,..... Oh Yeah....they cant because....... they spent all the money already.

A real advanced planner / thinker you are.
Actually you can, there are several storage options and many more in development.

What Trudeau tried to do with SNC was what every major competitor of Canada already does. When he was subverted by that backstabbing cunt, the court process delivered an even more lenient penalty then what was prescribed by the deferred prosecution legislation, after spening millions more of taxpayers money in the judicial process.

Yup the Federal govt that is trying to destroy AB provided BILLIONS to ensure oilpatch workers remained employed when demand imploded. AND they provided BILLIONS in funding to deal with orphan wells that pour toxins into the air Albertans breath. Not to mention all the natural disaster assistance for Ft McMurray and Calgary etc etc. The NET zero program was a response to Americans and European lobbyists that coined the phrase TAR SANDS OIL. Instead the Feds wanna make Canadian oil squeaky clean AND help the companies pay for the carbon capture so they can actually turn it into a source of revenue!! AB may hate Trudeau, but he has not hestiated to fund the AB economy.

Premier Smith one of the GOATs for sure. Shed make a great PM.

What kind of dumb dumb far left politicians like the closet liberal Doug Ford think theyre gona do by waging a trade war on a country with 10 times the population? Thats called economic suicide for all the financially illiterate sheep. We’re sure gona “teach” Trump a lesson by rattling our sabre lmao bunch of buffoons running this country, with an army of sheep behind them.
Gee, guess you were running backwards with your tail between your legs when Hitler was advancing?

The Orange Shit Stain will only be around for 4 more years at the most. If the world is lucky the old fuck will die sooner than that, somehow hopefully with a lot of pain involved.

Post of the year and it's only January.

I'm so tired of hearing Alberta bitch and whine. The hardships they go through with oil has nothing to do with the federal government and everything to do with the fact that the province 100% depends on the oil and gas sector because they refuse to diversify, like every other province does.

And complain -- all Alberta does is complain, complain, complain. Fucking province of Karens.

I remember reading how when the Canada Wheat Board was formed in the 1930s most grain shipments were going through Thunder Bay to Europe. The concept of "pool sharing" was applied where all farmers in the Prairies got paid the same amount for their wheat even though the average cost to ship grain by rail from Alberta to Thunder Bay was much higher than from Manitoba or Saskatchewan to Thunder Bay.

Saskatchewan and Manitoba didn't complain that they were subsidizing Alberta -- it was for the benefit and economic health of the entire Canadian grain industry.

But when grain shipments shifted to Asian markets in the mid-1970s, most of the grain began heading west through Vancouver. What happens? Alberta complained that they were subsidizing the higher freight from Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

At least Alberta is consistent!

To be honest, Alberta is the worst of Conservatives you can find in Canada.

They don't know how to govern. All they know is make money from oil. They would never last anywhere else in Canada.

Basically the province version of Saudi Arabia.

This situation is highlighting their lack of negotiating skills and their ability to diversify their economy.
Shrug, that describes the rest of Canada as well. It also describes most oil countries - except for Norway. The Nordic region is an exception to many things. We've gone soft doing the easy stuff on extracting our resource wealth and the US being generous with us. Both are changing and it's going to be tough.

you never heard the term divide and conquer? Maybe Trudeau should put an export tariff on TMX to reimburse the govt After all its his job to look after ALL Canadians.
AFAIK Smith took the initiative on her own. If you're not aware, she's been touring the United States for the last two weeks, talking to anyone she can about Alberta.

She is the Premier of Alberta, not he Premier of Canada. It's too bad there is, for good reasons, a vacuum at the top and thus others have stepped in.

I mean, HOW could she not trust the current Federal Government run by a Trudeau not to look after AB's best interests :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:. Kill the oil industry and save the climate at the same time. :ROFLMAO:

What Trudeau tried to do with SNC was what every major competitor of Canada already does.
you are attempting to justify the perversion of our justice system for political reasons
no way he does that for an alberta company

When he was subverted by that backstabbing cunt, the court process delivered an even more lenient penalty then what was prescribed by the deferred prosecution legislation, after spening millions more of taxpayers money in the judicial process.
just like Trudeau you have zero understanding of the responsibilities of public office

The minister of Justice has to uphold the laws and apply them equally
Not pick and choose depending on who are friends with our idiot P

JWR acted with the integrity her position demanded
if the SNC issue was so above board, no reason for Gerald Butts to resign in disgrace
It should have cost Trudeau his job as well and now Canada is paying a huge price for not removing him from the PM job

And this was only one of the many scandals that should have been the end of Justin Trudeau as PM
Justin Trudeau is Canadas curse

Had a conservative PM done this he/she would have been destroyed

you are bent
