You want fewer people on the roads?
Then argue for a congestion charge, elimination of parking and higher driving fees.
I'm arguing for more subways just like almost every other major city in the world. We have 2 lines. It's a fucking joke.

And if we knew that they were digging a couple of more lines as we speak, we would be more tolerant of the current congestion.

What we needed was planned, financed and started but then killed by the Ford brothers.
Miller's Transit City plan put LRT's and subways across the city, if it hadn't been killed we would be where we need to be with transit.

Instead we've got Ford screwing up Metrolinx, with the 14 year Eglinton LRT a prime example. While that and other builds move slowly along the two main lines have become incredibly poorly maintained and filled with the homeless who suffer from lack of housing and social services. That's keep other users off the now untrustworthy and occasionally dangerous main transit lines. More of this won't help.

You need every option and bike lanes are cheap and good option. They don't cause congestion, that's by stupid drivers parking in lanes, getting stuck in intersections, delivery trucks taking lanes and construction overflowing into streets.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

The above post is a new nominee for TERB"s Face Plant post of the year.

Where do you live, in Doug Ford's Timbuktu?

As you speak/spoke/spunk and wholly contradict your claim of, "if we only knew they are digging more subway lines, then we'd be more tolerant of the current congestion". there is currently ongoing:

1) Eglington Crosstown line
2) The Eglinton Crosstown line extension to Matheson Blvd Corporate center in Mississauga
3) The Yonge subway line extension north in York Region
4) The Finch LRT
5) The Ontario Line
6) The Scarborough Subway Extension
7) planning for a Queens Quay E. LRT
8) planning for a Scarborough LRT

And yes, all of the above transit construction projects have/been/were/are horribly bungled by Doug Ford, they are still active projects.

Bro, stick to sports betting because it's obvious you are clueless and out of your league where it concerns Toronto.

Oh and BTW, none of this congestion, gridlock and woeful rapid transit shit that you and others just like you barf up as an argument for the possible removal of bike lanes on Bloor, University and Yonge is valid and relevant.

Usually I pick solid sources or eyewitness video.
Same approach you should take with all media, check where it comes from, who said it and whether it looks legit.

I don't know the person who made the post but the video makes a point.
What a stupid example. You see that orange sign? The one that indicates a lane closure where two lanes merge into one? Of course traffic is going to be backed up. You have two lanes filtering into one. Same thing is happening daily, both east and west on the Gardiner. Where traffic merges from three lanes to two. Duh!
