I was just giving you the true stats of the California Economy and how it has exceeded the growth of the Federal and other States that you cannot accept. What is wrong with California that makes it a pariah? I have worked there on a contract and had a great time prior to Covid-19. Got a good deal and loved my brief time there. There is so much to admire in that state, but of course you probably pick on just the conns!!
I'm not sure why you are touting Democrat Gray Davis. He was recalled by voters. He served as CA Governor when President Bush was President. While I think your hunt to connect any economic gains to liberals around the world is silly, it's easy to say the U.S. President is far more important to the economy than individual State Governors. Isn't Trudeau's leadership more important to Toronto's economy than Doug Ford's? Anyway, Gray Davis was demonstrably unpopular as he was not allowed to serve out his term.
But remember that Gray was the one to find and return $1.8 Billion to California Citizens including forgotten bank accounts etc. Student fees became more affordable, and to this day many of his accomplishments like reducing carbon emission, getting clean water etc are still revered. He was removed from office after being blamed for the Electricity crisis.
However, it is hilarious now that you give George Bush and The Republicans for the credit, especially as Bush screwed up the US economy with his stupid war on Iraq.

Lastly, I do not criticize California's economy. I generally criticize California's policies that interfere with freedoms. I criticize their extreme focus on equity. I criticize California's approach to law enforcement and lax prosecution of crime. It's now also a very expensive place to live even in rural regions of the State. As I always say, I prefer to focus on individual policies rather than on sweeping partisan generalizations.
What freedoms is California guilty of, especially when you compare it to other US States where a woman has restricted rights to her own body and becomes a criminal if she wants to have an abortion after being raped , or due to incest? The doctors even get prosecuted for performing the procedure especially if her life is also on the line. California is more expensive than other states, but the people are well paid. They get many benefits like child, school meals, education that is one of the reason that they have some of the nations best Universities. There is Hollywood and the Silicon Valley. Say no more!!
