It's not clear if a small amount of North Korean soldiers really could have much impact on the war. It would appear they're being added to provide impetus for offensive attacks. Don't underestimate the symbolism of North Korea's participation at least from the Russian perspective.

If you think the Ukraine is making significant and sustainable progress, I would agree with you. However, Russia only really needs to hold on to territory and grind out the war. Historically, this has been the Russian military's fallback strategy.

There is a problem defining Ukrainian victory as the country regaining control of its pre-2014 borders. A Ukrainian victory is actually defined by Russia unilaterally discontinuing to fight. I don't think the Ukraine can win the war unless one holds out hope that the Putin regime would collapse shortly. I've been hearing of a pending collapse for over two years now.
You think Putin will listen to trump?

Libs have at least one tiny victory.
Looks like Kari Lake will lose her Senate bid.
She was a bit of a nutjob anyways though

Again did you check out the statistics from 1998 to the 2023? When all the righties doomsday media try to berate California just because it has been Democratic leaning in the last decade, you seem to follow them tooth and nail. Do not forget that California' biggest growth rate was under Gray Davis a Democrat who was the one to trigger California's economy, in investments etc. to push California up from the 7th to the 5th largest economy in the world that Arnold then inherited. He also induced the trade with Mexico, improving California's Water & Air Quality boosting their Healthcare program. But talking about Arnold, well, well, well, wonder why he endorsed Kamala Harris in the last elections? 😜
His policies were more in line with the Democratic policies and no doubt the Republicans have moved more extreme right with Trump!!
Now you attack California although the fact is from 2011 when the Democrats took office, the GDP growth rate grew exponentially as compared to all the other States economies including the Federal Economy. But one fact that missed is that in the last 30 years The Democrats were in power for 17 Years while the Republicans had just 13 years. Also you mentioned about Canada's economy in the past 15 years. Harper inherited a booming Canadian that was well ahead of the USA who were in a recession. He plunged the economy that into a recession, that did not recover when he handed it to the Liberal Government. Meanwhile the USA's economy was already out of a recession. Say no more!!
Beav, you're cherry picking information again. Sometimes you're even trying to pick cherries off of a peach tree.

I'm not sure why you are touting Democrat Gray Davis. He was recalled by voters. He served as CA Governor when President Bush was President. While I think your hunt to connect any economic gains to liberals around the world is silly, it's easy to say the U.S. President is far more important to the economy than individual State Governors. Isn't Trudeau's leadership more important to Toronto's economy than Doug Ford's? Anyway, Gray Davis was demonstrably unpopular as he was not allowed to serve out his term.

Now you're saying this Republican (Schwarzenegger) is different than other Republicans. So now you're cherry-picking Republicans too. You're the one making the California economy a team sport of California Democrats vs. California Republicans. No, you don't get to choose all the Democrats and select whichever Republicans you need to force fit your narrative.

I'm not sure why you're still discussing Stephen Harper today. I'm sorry only a chronic cheerleader would ignore the crash in oil prices in 2014/15 and oil's relative importance to Canada. Anyway, ten years is a long, long time and it is far long enough for Trudeau's leadership to deal with the structural economic malaise.

We can all see you attribute any economic gains to liberal leadership and any economic stagnation/recession that occurs under liberals' leadership to conservatives. It's just too bad Trudeau after ten years has not figured out how to deliver on your magic formula.

Lastly, I do not criticize California's economy. I generally criticize California's policies that interfere with freedoms. I criticize their extreme focus on equity. I criticize California's approach to law enforcement and lax prosecution of crime. It's now also a very expensive place to live even in rural regions of the State. As I always say, I prefer to focus on individual policies rather than on sweeping partisan generalizations.

It will be interesting to see who the next owner will be.

Warner Discovery CEO David Zaslav is wrestling with trying to be the cost-conscious executive or hobnobbing with liberal Hollywood players.
Ok Didn't know, I think they got rid of Jim Acosta since the election, I didn't see him around.

Forget Trump. Do you think the Ukraine war should be brought to an end soon? I think it's clear it's currently a stagnate, grinding war that now favors Russia. The U.S. and Western European powers are not going to let the Ukrainians lob long-range missiles deep into Russia.

With that in mind, I would advise the Biden Administration to start negotiating a cease fire and peace settlement. There's no reason they can't make overtures between now and January. I think they should have been pushing for this all year.
I am wondering if Trump has pulled a 1980 Reagan hostage crisis move with either or Putin and Bibi.

It doesn't matter if a peace deal is early in 2025 or later, you know people on the Left will say it was prearranged with Putin and/or Bibi. As I said earlier, the Biden Administration should have been working on a cease fire and peace agreement in the Ukraine all year.

And now the election is over, maybe we can ask and discuss questions like grown-ups instead of squabbling adolescents. Who do you suppose is making decisions as they relate to the Ukraine? It is unclear to me.
