I believe the Republicans will be in the same spot in 2028 that the Dems were in in 2016.I don’t know if he would have won, or if even I would vote for him, but the DNC dictating that it was Hilary’s turn has had massive historical implications.
I still don’t believe a reckoning will come. Theyre gonna try a top down candidate installation again. They haven’t learned anything.
Joe Scarborough on MSDNC talking like heisn’t a huge part of the problem is a great example of how out of touch with reality, but also how easily the senior members of the DNC will flat out lie to their audience.
Obama was big shoes to fill.
There was no one to fill those shoes especially against a populist like Trump.
Trump will be big shoes to fill too.
The right candidate in 2016 would have been a radical one just like Trump was radical at that time. (Bernie imo).
But as you say the DNC does not learn.
They want their establishment candidates.
If they still haven't learned, they need to wake up and see that the overton window has shifted to populism.
That or Trump's 2nd term is a complete disaster that people start craving for a change.
