You could bike in lane on a main road if you choose to.

These main roads are shared use and not exclusive to motorized vehicles.

If push comes to shove the above will happen as routine with dedicated cyclists plus it's lawful too.

I fuckin hog a whole lane when dealing with dickhead drivers and this happens a lot.
I’d rather not be an asshole if I can help it. I also consider staying alive to be a bit of a priority

It will route you through smaller roads if you turn off the option "use only main streets".
Its better than google imo.
Looking into it now. Obv Waze is great for driving and I use it religiously when drive especially cuz it shows speed cams, red light cams and cops on the road.
Apparently there’s an app called komoot that’s good for cycling though. I’m driving right now, so not the best time to start downloading apps lol but I’ll look into this.

I’ve always found it weird how Ford aggressively inserts himself into municipal politics in Toronto…it’s like he can’t let go of his old grudges from back when he and his crack-addled brother were involved in Toronto politics. I still can’t get my head around how Ontarians elected this fool.

smh

Hogwash.

I am well north of 60, live further west than you and commute to work by car in southwestern Etobicoke very close to the Mississauga border.

Many ages and demographic sectors cycle.

The difference between you and I apparently is that your cohorts are the crybaby elitists.
C'mon. Your standard Twitter bike lane ranter is a fitness dude who lives and works downtown. No one else has the time or opportunity.

The normal person who needs a car and lives downtown adjacent is a person who has a job in the burbs or else needs the car for family tasks. The person I always think of is my next door neighbour who has 2 kids that she takes to hockey practice and works a clerical job in an office in Etobicoke.

The last guy I scrapped with on Twitter is an entertainment lawyer who bikes to his office or works from home and must pull $300k+ and doesn't have kids. But my single mom neighbour "oppresses" the lawyer by taking away his carefree bike ride to the office. Total elitist crap.

It's time the ordinary working people took back this city from the rich.

He's still pissed that we really don't want him as mayor.

cyclists do not know how to ride on the road because they do not have a drivers license

and they simply do not know the rules
The intelligence displayed above is like the world has never seen before.

Except the "bottleneck" argument only occurs where bike lanes have removed a lane for cars - like College West of Bathurst.
More world leading intelligent comment.

That is the legally correct move if there is no bike lane.
You take the entire lane.

That's what everyone will have to do.

Exactly.

Take the lane.

It's much safer than being squeezed by motorists on one size and the curb or parked cars on the other.

Plus is fuckin lawful.

Motorized vehicles do not have any lawful right to monopolize shared use roads.
