Hamas is a lot like Lyme Disease. It's fairly straightforward to resolve the immediate symptoms, but it can sometimes take years before the body excretes the last of the infection. However, it is worth the effort. Hamas has nothing to contribute to the body politic of the world. Like a virus, it's only function is to rot civilization from the inside.
