History has shown that Socialism/Marxism leads to Communism. If you really look at the Marxist ideology you can map it to leftist ideology being pushed today. "Marxist" is not a derogatory term in itself.

In the US, it's a two party system. So trying to peddle the narrative that "all racists are GOP supporters" is a hasty generalization with false equivalence. i.e. when you really only have 2 options, you will pick the one that more closely aligns with your values...doesn't mean that one is racist while the other is not.
