I gotta say that last night's game made me feel nostalgic. I kept thinking of the good old days when we had real pros like Justin Turner, Kevin Kiermeier and even as far back as Brandon Belt. How I miss those days.

Close out the season 10-0 and their an above .500 team!
Aside from Shatkins and the possibly the players, nobody else will give a shit, even if they did.

p.s. I'm hoping for a 9-1 finish since I believe I called for an 81-81 record in the pre-season poll. LOL

The WORST 10 MLB CONTRACTS Of All Time!!! Unmitigated DISASTERS!!

Ryan Howard had a body type similar to Vlad Guerrero Jr, (slightly taller, almost the same weight), and he was also a first baseman. Signing him to a long-term extension didn't go well for the Philadelphia Phillies. These are two different men, and Vlad story is still being written, but this is just another example of how the career of a big man at first base can go south quickly, and if someone like that has multiple guaranteed years, No team will take on his salary, if his performance declines while he's being paid top dollar.

I expect Guerrero to be productive for at least another 4-5 seasons, and who knows, after that. I also don't expect the Blue Jays to be World Series contenders at any time during the next 4-5 years, with Guerrero signed long term at $35 Million or more per season, not with about $70 Million of their 2025 budget already earmarked for Springer, Bassitt and Gausman.

Oh man. There were so many duds that Atkins brought in I couldn't remember them all. No disrespect to Joey, but even Votto was a useless move.
I'm cutting Atkins some slack on the Votto signing. A good potential PR move, with little downside. How was Atkins to know Votto would trip on a bat and hurt his ankle for most of the year.

According to Dan Shulman and the Sportsnet staff, Jiminez has been HBP 15 times in 56 games this year. Ron Hunt would be proud.

It was definitely a feel good move with not much downside. But with how many bad moves Adkins, made this year in particular, it's just one more to add to the pile.
