Act Naturally, also recorded by Ringo Starr.Gotta love the Bakersfield sound...
My favourite song, a duet with my all time musical hero Jimmy Buffett. It's 5 O'clock somewhere. Pour me something tall and strong, make it a hurricane before I go insane, it's only 12 o'clock here, but it's 5 o'clock somewhere.
Carmelita was written by Warren Zevon. He recorded it in 1976, but the original recording was by Ontario's own Murray McLaughlin in 1972.Don't kick me out of the thread, but I thought I'd make it a little more piquante with some Norteno.
What a lousy idea for a thread.I searched The Lounge to see if there have been any general threads with C&W music posts, and couldn't find any.
I like some classic C&W, but not very much modern.
Over the next couple of nights I'm gonna post some of my favourites.
Feel free to contribute from whatever era you enjoy...
First, Canada's own Hank Snow:
I didn't know about the McLaughlin connection! Wow!Carmelita was written by Warren Zevon. He recorded it in 1976, but the original recording was by Ontario's own Murray McLaughlin in 1972.
