Agreed, the war in Ukraine will probably not be debated much in Canada, but there are some right-wingers who echo the US (and Russian financed) views that we should let Ukraine wither on the vine.

As for Trump....I doubt he'd do much to stop Putin. He'd probably put the screws to Ukraine and tell them to give into Russia. I mean, Trump did nothing to address the border battles that were going on since 2014. And, I think only true believers in the Donald would think Putin wouldn't have tried something with Trump as president....
The only entity truly fighting Russia is the Toronto Film Festival execs who have now banned the showing of one of the movies about Russian soldiers in the war with Ukraine for fear of violence.
Take that Russia! https://tiff.net/tiff-statement-regarding-the-canadian-documentary-russians-at-war

Ironically, part of the funding for the movie came from the Canadian government, ie our tax dollars.

btw I'm wondering when the feds here will introduce a new Russia/Ukraine War tax? Hmmmmm....

That's quite a bit of wishful, revisionist history.

Obama was President in 2014 when Russia took the Crimea and began the border battles in the East.

Publicly hesitating to provide Ukraine with weapons to defend themselves against further Russian invasions. And using this to try to extort Ukraine into launching an investigation into Biden's son. Never mind, not being righteous and strong enough to increase sanctions against Russia for their continued illegal occupation of Ukraine.
The problem is that delaying the delivery of weapons is not really a decision. As you say, it was merely a hesitation.

Lethal weapon systems were sent to the Ukraine under Trump, but denied under Obama. I would not make too much of that other than to say it disproves the notion that the Trump Administration did not support the Ukraine's military capabilities.

This refers to the long-standing for decade Supreme Court decision in Roe. In the Senate hearings each of the new Trump Supreme court nominees said as I recall that a long-standing ruling should not easily be overturned. But they did and in polls about 80% of the US wants to return to the 24 week standard of Roe.
This started because I am telling you there is no codified standard for a 24 week abortion limitation. U.S. Courts do not codify laws.

That's part of the debate.

As far as what people say this current Justice said or didn't say about Roe, there's lots of videos of their hearings particularly discussions about Roe. No offense, but we don't need anyone to tell us what the Justices said in their confirmation hearings.

In general, all justices say something to the effect that they respect stare decisis ("to stand by things decided"). The practical reality is the Supreme Court throughout two plus centuries have overturned decisions. It's not unusual or a violation of some code. No Supreme Court nominee absolutely commits to stare decisis in every case.

Trump wanted peace...no wars....Biden/Kamala wanted scorched earth...look what happened...Oh and Look at Gaza franky...Trumps fault?
Only an idiot would blame the Russian invasion or the actions of Hamas on Biden.

The difference is under Trump he would have handed Putin the keys to Kyiv and Bibi more of a green light to blow up Gaza faster and quicker.

woulda, coulda, shoulda....

Fact is, no one invaded anyone while he was in power.

Everyone invaded everyone when the Dems took office.

You should come to grips with that inconvenient truth rather than putting your hopes on conjecture.

Um, there was a pandemic during your cult leader's menacing run which kind of stopped most dictators in their tracks. Yet more American soldiers were killed in Afghanistan during the Trump administration than in the Biden admin. Hmmmm, interesting little tidbit eh Scoob?

Lol...if you can't see how it was engineered for Ukraine to move away from peace with Russia as soon as Biden/Kamala was in command, encourages Zelensky to entertain the Idea of joining Nato who will then strategically put bases in close proximity to Russia...Pulling out of Afghanistan and start a new war in Ukraine...that's a bold but impressive move...I mean, leaving Trillions of equipment although outdated...just needs another war to showcase the new stuff...

And far more deaths under Obama than Bush and Trump combined.

So thanks for the tidbit. Not sure the point. I'm not even sure how Afghanistan flowed into the conversation.

So who put those forces in Afghanistan? not Trump. Trump didn't want to spend manpower and weaponry to anybody unless US gets something in return...Just admit it, Biden / Kamala were fucking up things...
