Exactly. It's little things like that, on top of their excellent production quality, that I feel I'm getting educated every game. Zwelling and Hazel also provide up the minute happenings on the field and in the dugout. And Siddall and Joseph provide very technical details in the studio with some personal anecdotes. Oh yeah, and even though she's useless otherwise, Emily has a smoking body. It really is a total package.

I remember one Boston broadcast and they spent about 15 minutes talking about what a good dresser Jim Rice was. A fucking waste of time. The only time they talked about another player a tiny bit was when he was at bat. I think he passed but Jerry Remy had to be the biggest homer of all time.
Amen to the comments about the tv broadcast. I just wish the radio broadcast would follow. I think the Blue Jay radio broadcasts are at a low point in the franchise's history.

No doubt Remy was biased, but he was no match for 'Hawk' Harrelson of the Chicago White Sox broadcasts. Sickening.

Well, that was a great game for 8 innings. Francis with another amazing game.
What I find truly impressive, is he didn’t have his best stuff. His velocity was down. This guy is all about mixing it up right now. Pitch location, hiding the ball well with deception, and changing speeds. Whoever thought this guy would be the hottest ticket right now to watch.

Like many no hitters or perfect games, you need to have a lot of luck, however I thought he was very lucky as there were a lot of hard hit balls against him. Having that said, I also don't think it's a coincidence that he was the pitcher of the month, almost threw a a no-no two starts ago, and now does it almost again.

I don't know what to think when it comes to this guy.

He looks ordinary but his results are extraordinary.

Greg Maddux won 355 games being ordinary.
This is very true. As much as I love Roger Clemens, this was at a time where these pitchers were given extreme corners based on reputation. Everything is so analytical these days with the strike zone, I don’t even know if that’s even possible anymore.

That and pitchers have pitch counts and are pulled after 5-6 innings

From 1980 to 1984 Dave Stieb had 69 complete games pitched. That stat, along with Bonds being the last person to hit over 30 home runs for the Giants since 2004, yet the San Francisco Giants went on to win the World Series 3 times since 2004….. are two stats that have always made me really scratch my head.

And then look at guys like Tyler Glasgow and Blake Snell. I don’t necessarily agree with this, but both of these pitchers are regarded as two of the better starters in the league. Possibly even placing both of them in the top 10/15 starters in MLB. Tyler Glasgow has never had a complete game and Blake Snell didn’t get his first complete game until this season for his entire career. Both of these guys are in their 30s…

Hey, Phil. I think it's Glasnow. And I'm not even sure if he's Scottish.

When Androstenedione Guy was chasing the home run record in 98, Ferguson Jenkins was asked how he would pitch to him. He said, he's crowding the plate I would put him on his ass. I don't believe anyone charged the plate when he pitched.

He's now 81 years young.

When I drive to Windsor, on my way to Detroit, I pass those big wind power generator fan things which are probably just called “wind turbines” lol. Without knowing about Ferguson Jenkins, I know these wind turbine thingies are right around the Chatham/Kent municipality area. I often think to myself and wonder if those are the same fields he was pitching on as a kid lol.
