Reminds me of the NHL. When Jerome Iginla led the league in points in the 2001-02 it marked the first time in 21 years Gretzky, Lemieux, or Jagr didn't lead the league in points.Federer, Nadal or Djokovic did not win a grand slam this year. First time in 22 years
The 2024 US Open has been an underdog's tournament so far. Djokovic bowing out was not really a surprise, he gassed himself in Paris. He won the gold medal for Serbia, at 37 his recuperative powers have slowed down.

Gabriel Diallo lost to Tommy Paul in 4 sets after winning the first set. But he deserves applause considering he had to play a full tournament to qualify and then made it to the 3rd round of the US Open. Future seems bright
JohnnyMac once said of Shapo's potential is unlimited. Probably true except the elevator doesn't go to the top floor. Diallo did well at the Canadian Open, which earned him a qualifier for Flushing Meadows. Hope he builds on it unlike those other two guys.

Just as I predicted several years ago. At the time it was "that time of the month" that stopped her from winning the Canadian Open.
The Paris Gold Medalist survived her toughest test, I don't see anyone stopping her. She's athletic like Caroline Garcia with a far superior brain.

As great as Emma Navarro has played she going to have a tough against the winner of the Sabalenka vs Zhang matchup. Her father Ben Navarro is the Italo/American version of George Soros. They both made off with a billion dollars by shorting a national economy. Soros shorted the British Pound Sterling in 1992 while Navarro shorted the American Real Estate market in 2008. Navarro is now the founder of Sherman Financial Group and the owner of Credit One Bank.
