VDZ is a good player but I'm shocked that Carlito bows out. Barbora Krejcikova, the Wimbledon Champion, also got knocked out. It's not that big a deal, she's never been a factor on hard court.

Gabriel Diallo lost to Tommy Paul in 4 sets after winning the first set. But he deserves applause considering he had to play a full tournament to qualify and then made it to the 3rd round of the US Open. Future seems bright
JohnnyMac once said of Shapo's potential is unlimited. Probably true except the elevator doesn't go to the top floor. Diallo did well at the Canadian Open, which earned him a qualifier for Flushing Meadows. Hope he builds on it unlike those other two guys.
