Now Kamala Harris leads Trump even on the Economy. That was just one of the traits that benefited Trump. More Americans believe that Kamala is better candidate to handle to economy:

Kamala Harris Gets Major Boost From Voters on Economy

The only thing I guess is whether the Americans believe that she is "Black". After all Trump stated that she has now changed her ethnicity.............. 😊 😁😆😅😂🤣
beav, you are the resident TERB futurist.

What economic data in the last month do you think catapulted Kamala Harris' potential economic stewardship in the eyes of voters? It would seem to reason something happened that would give people more faith in her future Administration.

Valcazar is the only one who thinks NY Times is right-wing and supports Trump 😂
Far from the only one.
And not strongly right wing, but yet supports Trump.

One of the Times's jobs is to make Trump more palatable to a center-left readership.
They can't just lie and pretend Trump isn't a criminal or corrupt.
Their job is to sand the edges off and to undermine the Democrats.

What's truly amazing is he claims most of the press give him a pass and don't call him out on things.
Not amazing.
Just true.

The fact that she's not a senile idiot, like Trump?

The Nov election doesn't matter, epic slaughter will be unleashed on America in 2025. The King of Kings shall prevail.

I sometimes think the TERB crowd are lab rats for Valcazar's academic research.

Perhaps he can find a way to gaslight people into thinking the mainstream media is pro-Trump so they don't know what the fuck to make of what they are being told.
He really really tries hard to play too many word and semantics games. And paint the Democrats as victims in all things.

I'm just poking fun at your analysis that you can you categorize historical figures based on your biases and projections.

You don't know what political party Abraham Lincoln would belong to today no more than you know what political party God would belong to.

PS- I'm sure Erik Larson wrote a great book, but only a small minority now believe Lost Cause mythology about State's rights and cultural differences between the North and South. There seems to still be a home for such thoughts concentrated in legacy Southern families. Even then, such beliefs are dying out with the change of generations.
Huh? Lets see you trace MTG's legacy roots. If there are so few lost cause supporters, why do they sell so many Loser's Flags?
This is a tangent. The original point was about the voice, and it was one of numerous barbs aimed at Honest Abe by supporters of the Southern Planter Aristocracy. Everything aimed at Kamela comes from supporters of the Theocratic, Kleptomanic aristocracy known as Trumpism...

MTG comes from a long-line of rabble rousing Congresspersons on both sides of the aisle. If you go to MTG, then we need to discuss the likes of Omar and Tlaib who really have no precedents.

By the way, you don't see a lot of confederate flags anymore in the South. You kind of have to go look for them. You won't see them in the cities, the suburbs and a lot of towns. Of course, there are will always be some knuckleheads who fly the flag. Maybe you will catch a bumpersticker on a long drive on the interstate.

The problem with your thesis is the changing demographics of America. Cities like Atlanta, Dallas, Charlotte, Raleigh, etc. and the areas around them are increasingly not even Southern. The Southeast Atlantic seaboard and Gulf Coast are being filled up with Northern retirees. Furthermore, Trump's success in the Great Lakes region doesn't fit well into your argument.

No offense, but you seem to be stuck in some progressive time warp where you really want to believe the politics are exactly like 1962.

But rarely have they been so blatantly stupid as Marge.

The cities you mention are pretty blue. It's the white legacy small towns that vote 90% red.

And the Great Lakes have plenty of those same small towns that vote 90% red. In that regard, rural OH isn't that different from rural SC. Older or less educated white folks who go to church on Sunday and don't like the cities.

So you're probably correct in that the divide is probably big city / small town these days, instead of North / South.

How can posting present Polls numbers make one a "Futurist"?

The majority of voters have realized that in the present political climate around the Globe no one is insulated. Whether it was Trump or Biden the inflation would have been what it was, After all Trump was the one that ballooned the deficit. Moreover Trump's constant rambling with just disrespectful slanders against Harris and her running mate, does not broadcast to the Americans how he would improve the economy!!

First, I think you should just take "futurist". That's a fairly respectable thing to call someone on a political forum.

Lastly, polls are exactly an effort to predict the future. However, that wasn't necessarily my intent to tie together polling and the future.

Polls are predicting the present and not the future. That is why they say if there is an election TODAY, then this would be the outcome.
Things can change between now and November. We saw that stark difference in the polls before and after Biden decided to throw in the towel!!
