MTG comes from a long-line of rabble rousing Congresspersons on both sides of the aisle. If you go to MTG, then we need to discuss the likes of Omar and Tlaib who really have no precedents.
But rarely have they been so blatantly stupid as Marge.

The problem with your thesis is the changing demographics of America. Cities like Atlanta, Dallas, Charlotte, Raleigh, etc. and the areas around them are increasingly not even Southern. The Southeast Atlantic seaboard and Gulf Coast are being filled up with Northern retirees. Furthermore, Trump's success in the Great Lakes region doesn't fit well into your argument.

No offense, but you seem to be stuck in some progressive time warp where you really want to believe the politics are exactly like 1962.
The cities you mention are pretty blue. It's the white legacy small towns that vote 90% red.

And the Great Lakes have plenty of those same small towns that vote 90% red. In that regard, rural OH isn't that different from rural SC. Older or less educated white folks who go to church on Sunday and don't like the cities.

So you're probably correct in that the divide is probably big city / small town these days, instead of North / South.

beav, you are the resident TERB futurist.

What economic data in the last month do you think catapulted Kamala Harris' potential economic stewardship in the eyes of voters? It would seem to reason something happened that would give people more faith in her future Administration.
How can posting present Polls numbers make one a "Futurist"?

The majority of voters have realized that in the present political climate around the Globe no one is insulated. Whether it was Trump or Biden the inflation would have been what it was, After all Trump was the one that ballooned the deficit. Moreover Trump's constant rambling with just disrespectful slanders against Harris and her running mate, does not broadcast to the Americans how he would improve the economy!!

First, I think you should just take "futurist". That's a fairly respectable thing to call someone on a political forum.

Lastly, polls are exactly an effort to predict the future. However, that wasn't necessarily my intent to tie together polling and the future.

Polls are predicting the present and not the future. That is why they say if there is an election TODAY, then this would be the outcome.
Things can change between now and November. We saw that stark difference in the polls before and after Biden decided to throw in the towel!!

I didn't even bother watching this video because of the title!!!! Trump on verge of flipping Minnesota?????
You seem to forget that in 2016 Minnesota almost went red as Trump came within 1.5 percentage points of Clinton. 3.8% went to the Libertarian Gary Johnson and another 1.8% went to conservative independent Evan McMullin.
Nevertheless if you watched the video the presenter still put MN in the blue column. The title is clickbait. So by being so tunnel visioned and lacking awareness (like the vast majority of lefties) you do yourself a disservice.

The King of Kings will reign supreme come 2025.

I find this hard to believe, Idaho is passing a law that forces pregnant women to wear an ankle monitor. To insure that they don't leave the state to get an abortion. Texas is considering the same law.

Looks like Biden is speaking Monday night at the convention. That should be interesting.

The line-up is basically the Democrat's greatest hits..........along with Biden there's Hillary, Obama and Bill.

Billionaire Vinod Khosla Calls Elon Musk's Climate Talk To Donald Trump "Dumb"
In a thread on X social media platform, Khosla said that regarding Trump's point of the temperature going up in some places and down in others, "you know as well as I that's a dumb way to look at it. The aggregate macro trends are indisputable. The earth is warming".

This is kind of funny and sad. Colbert is dead serious when he says CNN is objective and just reports the news as it is. The audience thinks he's joking.

All you have to do is watch the first 1:30 minutes. Colbert seems surprised by the audience reaction. Obviously, the audience had their own ideas about CNN. And Colbert is clueless.
