Didn't you recently post that the Lancet verified Hamas' numbers? Now you say that the dead are almost 5 times what Hamas claims?

The Lancet never issued any statement whatsoever regarding that study. The Lancet simply printed a letter sent to them by the authors outlining their extremely biased and flawed study. Flawed? When they claim that it is "reasonable" to arbitrarily quadruple the numbers Hamas has supplied to them, which we all know are inflated and unverified, but they accepted at face value, that is pretty damn flawed. But as I said, not a single comment was put forth by the Lancet itself.

A previous Lancet study said Palestinian reports on the number of dead are accurate.

This letter uses a standard battlefield formula used to calculate casualties in wars for decades. They picked a conservative estimate from that formula.
Israel has also destroyed all the hospitals in Gaza, where bodies were counted and tens and tens of thousands of bodies remained buried in rubble.

The Lancet thinks that estimate was trustworthy enough to publish.

2) Once again, you have yet to provide a single statement authored by the Lancet that accuses Israel of these deaths, farcical number or not. Even the authors never assigned any blame. Show us a statement from the Lancet itself that says this is their position. You can't because it doesn't exist.

40,000 is the counted dead from whatever hospitals can still keep track.
186,000 is the likely minimum dead including those missing, buried in rubble and not counted.

There is no number that will be high enough for you.
