yeah except at least Kyle Dubas believes in offence lol.

Philip
Kyle Dubas has never drafted any talented offensive players. And when if comes to finding good defensive players you can't knock Ross on that. Something Dubas has yet to figure out.

LMAO Ono. a politically incorrect but lovely song.

Let's hope the club can get this done before Christmas.

I’m surprised James Click didn’t deal Biggio to the Astros. I am all about this whole “James Click” thing lol. This man needs to replace Ross Atkins ASAP.

Barger is looking pretty good. Love his plate coverage, with his swing and stance.

They have some decent roster fillers like Barger and Horwitz but they need more impact players. Vladdy cannot be a one man wrecking crew.
My man James Click is going to step in before Christmas as the new GM, and he’s going to extend Guerrero, hopefully extend Bichette for a few years, sign Teoscar Hernandez, and hire either John Gibbons Terry Francone, or Joe Madden as the new manager. 😁

Why would you sign Bichette right now??? You have him locked up for two more years, and he's coming off a very bad year. No need to extend him whatsoever.

….because you might be able to get him for cheaper. Extending him by two or three years just so he can reset his value might be very appealing to him. Because he’s one of the best hitters in the league, every year except this year.

And possibly next year..and so on.... He also might keep getting hurt, and he's not a good defensive SS. The reason he plays SS is because he bitched and whined he wanted to play there. That's why Semien had to to play 2nd base.

The risk isn't worth the reward. You have time to see what he does in the next few years so no point in handing him a bag of cash. Handing out the those big contracts can often handcuff a team and set them back years. That's what happened to Baltimore with Chris Davis.

Baltimore re-signed him in 2016 for 7 years at 23 million per year. After him they were very careful about money and term.

This is why a 2/3 year extension is also ideal. Let him reset his value. Why let him play out next season, as he heads to FA and loose him for nothing if the Jays are trying to utilize him in an effort to compete in 2025. Also, you cant trade him now as they would get be getting below market value. Imho a 2/3 year extension is the best solution.

The whole reason they gave him the 3 years is so they could push the decision back. It would make zero sense to extend him this off season.

I understand what your saying, but I doubt Bichette has any interest in this. He'd rather play out next year hoping to cash in, and if he has a bad year again, he'll probably sign a one year deal which is what most of these guys do now. He'll go year by year until he has big year then try to cash in.
