No other party is going to eliminate the GST, Value added taxes are one of the best and least damaging ways to raise revenue. It's far far from my opinion.
If you want to get rid of the GST, what taxes will you increase to make up the difference, or what programs will you cut. If you can't answer the question or think increasing the deficit by a similar amount is wise policy, you probably shouldn't vote at all.
2: Poor baby, I can't remember the last time I've smelled the stuff, but yeah have everyone else live the way YOU want them to because of a problem that almost never happens, unless it's your friends that are smoking up in which case as a friend you are a nasty bit of work.

I think doing anything regarding Bill C-36 is so low on their priority list. As is weed.
But I can unequivocally say that they will not abolish the GST. In fact I would support an increase to 6% with an offsetting reduction in income taxes.
