Hi everyone,

I'm going to a casino for the first time in a long time. What other easy games would you suggest I look into? Also, what are the best slot machines to try? I don't have much poker knowledge, so any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Hope I win some big money!

Thanks!

❤

I have been to the casinos on and off for the past 40 years. 3 things that are obvious to most:
1- house always win
2- know how much you are willing to lose. And consider it lost once you get chips.
3- know how much you win to cash out. That is the only way to leave as a winner

Now on the knowledge side:

Slots are easier and does not require any skills or knowledge of the game... Just press a button, that is it... pretty boring and $100 will last you maybe 5 minutes of fun and or frustration.

Blackjack, just need the basic on when to hit and when to stand. Pretty boring as well as it does not require to think much but get frustrated when other players on the table does not play by these basic play.

Live Poker table, is more fun and more social where you can chat with other players. Just need to be careful as each casinos have 20-30 regular players that pray on newbies.

Roulette: a friend of mine is very good at it but I suck. I just can't win at this game.

Anyway, good luck and wish you to win big.

Cheers

Roulette and baccarat are the games with lowest odds for casino. Both are pretty simple but you need a strategy on play and when to gamble/exit. If you are trying to hit random bets, you are just throwing away money

Download a FREE casino app and try some games on that to get a feel for the betting and flow of some of the games. Of course, it's not going to be like going to a live casino but at least it will help you understand some of the pay outs etc. The dealers and supervisors will always answer any questions about the games but it can be difficult if it's busy, like on a Saturday night.

Take only what you're willing to lose, don't chase your loses and remember, you're there to have fun, not make money (I wish I could follow my own advice).

Good luck!

Woodbine (now called Great Canadian casino) or Pickering if you want to stay local. Niagara for a quick weekend getaway. Also, Rama is an option if you're in or near cottage country. There's a bunch of smaller casinos in towns near the GTA, if you want to avoid crowds, Milton, Innisfil, Brantford, Port Perry, etc.

I would suggest going with a friend who has experience with gambling and will help you to keep any winnings and, just in case, keep you from losing too much.

Anyone who thinks that they are going to win [ even small money ] in a casino is extremely naive unless you are a student of all things gambling and are in the 1% tiny minority who is a winner. I say that as someone who made a modest living playing professional poker in casinos for 10+ years and who also was a small winner playing advantage video poker for years . Virtually all of those advantage video poker games are long gone.

Blackjack. Continue doubling the bet until you win.
Martingale doesn't work. You eventually run out of money or reach the table max bet. Doubling your bet after every loss just to break even is a recipe for disaster.

when will there be Tournament poker in Pickering?...if ever
I hear the dealers are being trained right now, I'd check their website, the Poker Atlas app, or talk to one of the supervisors on phone or in person. I think Woodbine is going to run dailies as well.

casino war is pretty straight forward and fun to play. You can do small bets and it can last you awhile.

I’m actually not kidding when I say this, I will pay someone to come with me and teach me the ropes because my ass is too nervous to go! My friends don’t want to go :(
I don't think you would have to pay someone to take you out to the casino, I unfortunately am unable to accompany any ladies anywhere unless I want to become single. I think your best option would be to maybe visit a casino somewhere when you're on vacation with someone or a group perhaps. Just don't make going to casinos a (bad) habit. Far too many people have lost everything going to those places. They didn't build casinos by making people winners.

Casinos use what are known as shills on poker tables. When a table is reduced to say three or four players, they join the game to play and just check and maybe call bets to keep the hands going. They never raise or try to win, when you recognize this, leave the table.

Lol. No they don't. It's against the law for casino employees to play any at properties the company owns. So where are these "shill" players coming from and where are they getting money to play? Are they private players, using their own money, that for some reason care whether the game keeps going? That makes no sense.

I've been on short handed tables many times in casinos. The game usually breaks at 4 handed and the table no longer qualifies for the bad beat at 3 handed so no one plays 3 handed anyways. I've never seen these "shill" players. Maybe at "underground" "rake your eyes out" games.

If they never try to win then that is the exact reason to stay and play

those players who just limp in or check /call or check fold are passive,,,,,the kind you want at your table....dont leave.. just exploit them lol

I have been to Las Vegas 3 times and played live HoldEm Poker and twice while playing, when the table shortened to 4 players, at least 2 shills entered the game never raising bets and would fold to any raises. I also knew someone connected with the casino advised that this happened regularly Now this was many years ago and things may have changed. but I stand by my remarks.
