What laws on humane slaughtering practices are who ignoring?

You have revealed throughout this discussion that you were ignorant and subsequently simply try to back up your bigotry and did not, and still don't have any real understanding of Halal.
Holy fuck haven't you been paying attention?
Halal doesn't allow the animal to be rendered unconscious before its killed.

Wel... such a principled many better hope that your parents or religous man who chopped the head off your chicken didn't do it, or not do it, for religious reasons or NO BLOW JOBS FOR YOU!

And if so, at least don't be misleading. Make sure you either disclose it verbally before said blowjob or post a tattooed notice under your gut.

Jeeez.... all this religionized meat being shoved down everyone's throat! 😂

Wow....still totally missing the point of what the issue is here huh??

Severing the carotid arteries and jugular veins is a pretty good way to render an animal unconscious.
Except that is called torture.

Why? Results in near instantaneous unconsciousness followed rapidly by death, as there is no more blood flow to the brain. Just because something appears brutal doesn’t mean it is.

Ok so wait.

A person has the right to freedom of religion but other people don’t have a right to freedom from religion? How is that fair?

And if you want freedom from religion, you are a bigot????? How does that work?

I’m all for practicing your religion and each person choosing their faith but I don’t support religion in public domains such as stores/shops, government or schools.

This new policy is inclusive to some and I understand KFCs attempts here but they are exclusive to other groups now with their choice to go halal only.

His arguments are totally hypocritical, and always full of fallacies.

I don't understand how that poster is allowed to go around mocking others and being snarky, and then openly calling people bigots because they don't want to eat Halal or religiously affiliated food. Funny thing is this can be a simple conversation. Some people are fine with eating Halal and don't care. Sure, that's great. Some people are not comfortable with it. That should also be okay.

Instead we have terminally online people attacking others because they don't agree with them on a simple thing like this. And oh if you don't agree, you are a bigot. I always say extremism on any side (right or left) is what creates to a toxic discourse online which he's mostly responsible for in this thread.

He is a Hindu Nationalist from India. He is also vegetarian, which I know from a previous post of his, and most likely belongs to a caste which prohibits eating meat. This sort of bullshit towards Halal or even eating meat is quite common in those circles in India especially in the north. Ignore him.

Moving on....

In India most people go to a butcher shop which doubles as a slaughterhouse to buy chicken. We go there, and choose the live chicken that is to be slaughtered and then the butcher slits the neck in front of you.

As someone who has actually stood by and WATCHED halal slaughter in person, because I used to buy meat from a Muslim butcher in India, for many years, no, the neck is not slit "very slowly". It is slit fast, with one deep stroke, with a very sharp blade and I have literally seen the chicken go still after about 5 seconds, and likely about 15 seconds for goat.

I have also seen slow and incomplete slicing of the neck in most slaughterhouses owned by non-Muslims where they haphazardly slice the neck and throw the chicken into a bucket and the chicken thrashes around for a good minute before dying.

Everytime a Muslim has slaughtered using halal methods, in my long experience of buying meat in India, the slaughter has been fast, and the meat after is cleaner without any blood. Not the case with non-halal methods.

As for Sikhs - observant Sikhs cannot eat ritually slaughtered meat, such as Halal and Kosher. For Sikhs, they use a method called "Jhatka". Which is to sever the neck in one stroke - aka behead the animal. So in Sikh butcher shops, they will hold the chicken down and chop off the neck and then throw it into a bucket to bleed out.

As for humane methods of slaughter, the slaughter itself is less important than how the animal is treated before. Herding the animal into a stall, using cattle prods etc, and then shooting it in the head with captive bolt pistol or electric stunning etc, severely stresses out the animal. So there is not a lot of humanity there anyway.

Lastly none of this has anything to do with secularism. Secularism is keeping religion out of the government. Not out of KFC.

The few outraged Karens on here need to grow up and stop the racism and Islamophobia cloaked as - "I wanna know what I am eating" BS.
Lol at watching "non-muslim" slaughter chickens and leave them "thrashing" in a bucket...that's actual BS....every slaughter house Muslim or not bleeds out the meat and don't leave the chicken "thrashing in a bucket"...LOL....You've "seen" it....LOL....I've worked in a slaughterhouse and blood from pork, cow and chicken are collected...because it affects the meat texture... the proper procedure for chicken is slit the throat, bleed it out and put it in a stainless pan with hot water spray to easily remove feathers...LoL...

Lmao. Halal literally just means the meat is drained of blood before it is butchered. Thats it.
Which is basically every chicken....Non Halal are also drained of blood. It's a "marketing ploy" to get the muslim community to buy KFC...LoL...

It does not result in instantaneous unconsciousness you are mistaken. I've seen videos of goats and chickens slaughtered this way and they suffer while bleeding out. Its barbaric.

Have you seen video of a cow thrashing and kicking its legs after being stunned by a captive bolt gun?

They still end up in your kebab like any other goat or chicken. When I slice a lobster in half before putting it on the bbq. He does suffer a bit. More than when boiled?

This whole halal/kosher is a joke. A fake attempts to feel good about slaughtering animals that we eat.

OMG!

I was deliberately ignoring you coz you are waste of time and energy IMO. Let me give you some attention that you seek. I am not sure what your obsession is with my identity. I think you have plan doxxing me.

sounds like you think I feel ashamed of it or ppl will boo me if they know. Seriously!?!?

So let me put that for you once for all. I am proud of my religious identity and nationality. I have interfaith and inter caste marriages in my family. That’s the only piece of information you get from my personal life. I like to have beacons, egg and some bread in my morning and love pork fry as much as I like mutton fry.

I like to have pork coz this is the only way I can ensure that it is not halal and money is not flowing to any sort of terrorism, proselytising or grooming.

The amount of misinformation have been spreading about India and Indian mind boggling. I believe you’re stuck at a particular timeline. I feel like doing a thread or two about India and Indian ppl so that ppl like you don’t get free hand spreading misinformation.
