Alcaraz brought up Sunday's Euro final at his post game on court press conference. It didnt go down well
I watched both matches today. Joker looks susceptible. Even with getting a bye in the quarters Musetti had him breathing hard and shaking his head at times in the 1st 2 sets. He made quite a number of uncharacteristic unforced errors. His confidence seems to have entered into the realm of smugness.
Alcaraz fought a determined, skilled, smart and versatile Medvedev. CA lost the 1st in a lopsided tiebreaker and then mentally wore down his opponent with his power and ability to get to balls that seemed ungettable. Power, speed, youth, stamina, determination and exuberance will win the day on Sunday. Even if CA comes out slow Sunday like he did yesterday his resilience will not allow him to be deterred. I think that he'll win Sunday but the question is how easily.
We need the match to not be a marathon so we can concentrate on the Euro final. This is a comical prediction but CA will win the 1st two sets and then Joker will resort to an old tactic of feigning injury so as to not have to face the ignominy of losing in straight sets.
BTW, Medvedev was his old dickhead self telling the ump to fuck off 3 times in rapid succession when he didn't like a call by the ump even though replay showed that the ump made the right call. He was assessed a conduct violation. He then refused to shake her hand at the end even though that seemed to be the only controversial call. Tip-off is at 9:00 on Sunday.

I just finished watching on PVR 2 minutes ago. Wimbledon Finals must always be viewed. It's the most high profile match each and every year and has easily had the most memorable and historical finals of any of the majors.
Well, that's how easy it was. A straight set domination from start to finish, except for a fan yelling out with the winning shot on Alcaraz' racquet. Joker was never going to have a chance.
We can thank Danil Medvedev for the anti-climactic Wimbledon Final. If Sinner had beaten Medvedev, we would have been treated to another five set classic. Then Joker would have had a better chance, he had it easy. He had a non-starter walkover against Di Minaur.
Yes, its over for Djokovic. Age has finally caught up with him. The same happened to Serena Williams towards the end. Took care of lower seeds until she met up with one of the young guns - Naomi Osaka, Bianca Andreescu, etc.
And if Zverev hadn't been knocked out he would have eliminated Joker before the finals. He'd have put up a better fight than the old man against Alcataz,
Yes, I just looked him up and he's 37. He wanted to beat Federer's wins at Wimbledon, mut he may not make it.
