Leylah Fernandez lost to Caroline Wozniacki 3-6, 6-2, 5-7. And I was saying to myself, Leylah, why are you rushing your shots so much and hitting the ball so hard every time and making so many mistakes? Its like she wanted to win every point with every shot. Caroline simply put the ball in play and watch Leylah beat herself.

This is why Leylah has hit a ceiling. She is not crafting her game by waiting for opportunities to go for winners. Its time to remove her dad completely from her coaching team and replace him with a better coach.

Bianca Andreescu also lost. And so did Felix Auger-Aliassime. So much unfulfilled potential

Jasmine Paolini is playing the best tennis of her career, she outlasted Bianca in the first set. The second set was a foregone conclusion. Shapo is facing Ben Shelton in the fourth game of the first set.

Leylah needs a real coach, enough with the family.

You could replace the name Leylah with Shapo in every instance there and your analysis would be just as accurate.

Very few players win on all surfaces, Pete Sampras never won the French Open and Bjorn Borg the US Open.

For Silent Queen, grass is her best surface, she's the favorite to win her second Wimbledon. She's also given Carlito extra motivation to retain his title.

IMO, none of those matches seem as compelling as ones between Carlito, Medvedev, Sinner, Novak, Zverev et al.

Of the 21st Century babies, Ben Shelton got taken out by Sinner in straight sets. Carlito the Murcian took Ugo Humbert out in four sets. After them Musetti vs Perricard will be putting pressure on them.

And then there is the perennial underachiever Coco Gauff. Her nemesis Iga Swiatek was knocked out opening what seemed like an easier path to the title. Then she allows someone named Emma Navarro to piss all over her in straight sets.

The Williams sisters grew up with nothing. So they were mighty hungry and that was the motivating force for their excellence.

Coco Gauff has been showered with endorsements early in her career. So she is not hungry. Losing is okay with her. What a waste of talent

Emma Navarro took out Naomi Osaka, taking out Gauff isn't that surprising. She faces the overachiever Jasmine Paolini next.

It's still Silent Queen's tourney to lose. No way the underachieving Madison Keys loses to the female Diego Schwartzman.

Naomi Osaka just returned to playing after having a baby. Navarro taking her out is not that surprising. Coco Gauff is the second seed and Navarro took her out in straight sets. That is surprising to me.

Jasmine Paolini into the semi finals. Intelligence plus guts to comprehensively dispatch the very average Emma Navarro 6-2, 6-1 👏

Jasmine Paolini, Donna Vekic, Elena Rybakina, Barbora Krejcikova are the Women's 2024 Wimbledon final four. Rarely in the history of women's tennis has such a drab group made the final 4 (n)

There is nothing of interest in the group. Nothing compelling.

Has anybody had an easier run to the semis than Joker? All of the tougher seeds were on the other half of the draw. Medved, Sinner, Alcaraz, Zverev gets knocked out and De Minaur withdraws from the quarters. And now he plays the 25th seed in the semis.

After the incident with Ruuuune, he'll be hearing it from the crowd.
