No, skoob.
Minimum wage is supposed to be enough to live off.

Why do you hate workers and want them to be poor?
Well then if that's what you believe, rather than getting everyone else to fund someone's lifestyle because you think they don't make enough money, then ask Trudeau why he has made everything so unaffordable.

I don't hate workers. I hate people like you who think under-achievers should be rewarded on everyone else's dime. That's who I hate just to be clear. So you can stop repeating lies any time.

...and that's why we need to go back to keeping things behind the counter and instead of hiring a bunch of useless clerks that do nothing all day, they should invest in better security.

Spending money on building lavish stores is a waste of time. It's not Holt Renfrew.

btw all those stolen bottles leaving the store...that's our taxpayer money.

They are striking for one reason and one reason only - they know that layoffs are imminent because they no longer will enjoy the luxury of being a monopoly.
The average wage for a part time/casual worker is $22.59/hour. The average wage for a full time worker is $31.46/hour. They also get shift premiums if they work after 7 pm and they get 12 paid stat holidays, 2 more than the majority of Ontario workers.
Yes, the LCBO pays decent wages and still gives the province $2.5 billion a year in dividends.
DoFo handing those contracts to the Walens or 7 eleven means he'll have to find that money elsewhere and have more people needing foodbanks from working minimum wages.

The people who work at the LCBO are workers, not 'under achievers'.
Why do think people who work full time shouldn't be able to afford food and housing?

If you work at the LCBO full time, what do you think you should be able to afford?
A tent in a park?
Living in a car?

Don't forget the pensions & amazing benefits that cover most things 100%. You never hear them mention that when they're trying to extort more money from the public with sad stories.
They have it soooo bad! No wonder they're so unhappy.

"When I grow up I want to stock shelves at a liquour store"...said no one ever.
No one aspires to work in a liquor store as a career.

You expect someone stocking shelves to make the same as someone who has invested in themselves and has developed skills that are valuable?

You think government jobs are a charity?

Here's an idea...why don't you ask some of the LCBO sunshine list members to share some of their money with their fellow employees in the stores.

I expect anyone working for some corporation that is raking in billions in profit to be paid enough to pay for housing and food.
You don't.

You just hate workers.
You hate the people of Ontario.
And you hate social services.

Claiming I hate things that I don't just makes you look like you've run out of distracting comments and are desperate. (but everyone here already knows that)

Instead, what you should do is focus on what you said: "anyone working for some corporation"

Corporations provide jobs.
No one forces you to work for one.
If you're not happy with what they're paying you, then leave for a better opportunity.

Why do you feel entitled to someone else's money just because they have more than you?

That's just lazy and greedy.

Where do you think people who are paid minimum wages should go, if they can't afford to live in Canada?
That's about 10% of the population.

Do you know where there are better paying jobs for 10% of the population, skoob? Uber? Uber eats?
And if you don't, why do you think corporations making billions in profit should be allowed to pay people less than subsistence wages?

You keep labelling people who work at minimum wage jobs as lazy, under achievers and then declaring you don't hate them but that they should be paid even less than minimum wage.

You would have been very successful during the days of slavery and cheap labor. What a shame you weren't born during that era so you could have lived a life of luxury off the back of the poor.

So what you're saying is that we need to provide charity to those who have not invested in themselves to develop good skills?
Why do you feel so entitled to other people's money?

hahaha slavery?!?!

That's a desperate argument as usual.

Why is it that whenever the topic of you feeling entitled to other people's money comes up, you have to go back 100+ years to slavery, no unions, etc etc.

That's both funny and sad.

Why do you think wages for workers are 'charity'?
That's pretty screwed up.

Why do you feel entitled to tell poor people they deserve to make less money?
How do you think that will make your life better?

Charity is not earned. It's given.

When you want to just give people more money, not because they actually earned it, but just because you think they need it, that's charity.

Here's a job. Here's what it pays. Don't like that? Find another job.

Can't find another job that pays you more? Ask yourself why?

You really hate workers, don't you skoob?
How will your life be made better by making 10% of Canadians who are poor now even poorer?
You think Uber will give you dividends or something?

Here's a job. Here's how much it pays. Do you want it? No?
Then find another job that provides what you want.

Not happy at your current job? Find another one.

Can't find another one? Ask yourself why?

It's really that simple.

I hope Pee Pee governs how you propose so he and the NeoCons will be demolished after one term. I pray he goes to war with Federal Unions and creates a shitstorm that will wipe his sorry ass out.

What other jobs do you think you can get for 10% of Canadians making minimum wage?
