Ben Sestanovich available?

Too bad Roberto Alomar turned out to be such a weirdo.

And here is my fourth post in a row in this thread. I’m starting to feel like Mitchell76 (which is a great thing)….

And this special message to the white knights that tried to say we traded Hernandez for a good reason -Nice to know that the 1st place Dodgers that have been strategically designed to win the World Series, have Teoscar Hernandez who is good enough to play outfield for them, and who protects the greatest player on the planet in the order. All of this is going on while the Blue Jays just optioned Eric Swanson to AAA Buffalo. So as it currently stands at this exact moment, we traded Teo for nothing. A middle reliever that just got sent to the minors, That trade made me sick from day one… And my sickness has been revitalized. Why the Blue Jays didn’t lock Hernandez up long-term… We will never know.

just saying…

CP24 this morning is covering the roll out of the new uniforms. There is a long line up at Jays shop of fans waiting to get their hands on one(or more). They interviewed Bautista and Encarnacion who are involved in the roll out.

I imagine they made his agent an offer.
Look at Seattle , they lost Teo to LA so they get nothing for Swanson
and who can predict a injury which is what derailed Sawnson

One of you Ross Atkins loving White Knights, should not only support the moves he makes, but also contact the Los Angeles Dodgers head office….. And tell them they were dead wrong for signing Hernandez to protect Ohtani in the order. He strikes out way too much and his defence sucks….. Never mind the guarantee of 25+ and 100+ …The Blue Jays may have gotten rid of his offence but very smart to get rid of his shit defence. In 2024, The Los Angeles Dodgers are crazy to think they will win a World Series with Hernandez and his shit defence. 😜

I could write a book on why they should never have traded Hernandez and instead focus their efforts on extending him. Same book I would dedicate two full chapters to the development of Guerrero and how much keeping Teo would’ve helped.

@Toronto Passions: Philip, your bromance with Teoscar Hernandez is preventing you from seeing the whole picture.

The Jays traded one season of Teoscar Hernandez at $14 Million.

Along with Eric Swanson, the Jays received Adam Macko, a blue chip starting pitcher prospect, now on the 40 man roster. He's much improved this year at AA New Hampshire, having overcome some minor arm troubles last year at High A Vancouver. If/when Macko reaches the Majors, the Jays will have six years of club control, and they can pay him next to nothing by MLB standards for at least two full seasons. If Macko pans out, this trade will be a major win for Toronto.

A REALLY bad trade which has gone largely unnoticed was the August 2, 2022 deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers in which the Jays lost Nick Frasso, (currently the #80 ranked major League prospect, but injured this season), in return for Mitch White, (1-6 lifetime with a 7.26 ERA for Toronto).

I love Hernandez. I am the president of his fan club. And I feel like I’m the only member at times LMAO. But I’m an active president, and I represent this deep rooted cause from Toronto with Passions. !!!

The reason this trade bothered me so much from day one, is because I saw the holes in the Blue Jays lineup without Hernandez. And I saw this immediately. I just felt like his presence in the lineup and chemistry with Vladimir Guerrero was more valuable than any trade acquisition could’ve possibly been in regards to the offence. After the departure of Marcus Semien, and after a frustrating at times 2022 with the inability to score runs, I just feel like taking Hernandez out of what’s left of that 2021 lineup was extremely stupid, especially during this apparent window to win. You’re not supposed to mess with your core when you’re in this apparent window to win. You go for it. Smash that button! Keep your chemistry and go go go! I just feel like Ross Atkins let the situation slide even further after a frustrating 2022 with leaving runners stranded. I like what they got in return for the trade…… But I feel like it messed with an already increasingly frustrating lineup…. detoured this team at the wrong time from accomplishing its goal…. Bad timing to fuck with your core and for the future…. Actually idiotic. The window opening is now and it’s twilight. Unless some kind of a miracle occurs this year… Or a gentle retool in preparation for next year… This thing is fucked on so many levels.

Hernandez is having a good year granted but he's far from a guaranteed 100 RBI man...He's only once had over a 100 RBI's in a season.
He's batting 5th tonight while Ohtani is batting 2nd.

In terms of technically a 100 RBI man, I would have to say you’re right. There is a little bit of a guesstimating factor when looking at his ABs over the past four seasons. And because of this pace, presence and protection he offers in the order, I would consider him an RBI threat. One that the Blue Jays have desperately needed since his departure.

Jays will be out of playoffs this season, tempted to not watch games anymore, but will continue just to watch the development of "Moustache Boy", Davis Schneider, he is a late innings BEAST!!!!!

I think this team should see if they can trade Justin Turner to the Los Angeles Dodgers for sentimental value and for absolutely anything. I’d rather see Vogalbach batting cleanup/DH. I think Turner is done. Bat speed gone. Suddenly and quickly his age is showing.

Teoscar was 0-4 with 2 strikeouts last night...

Oh and by the way...The guy has an infectious smile and seems like a great teammate and I hope he mashes the rest of the way...But I just get this feeling he's going to decline rapidly. Hope I'm wrong.
