Here's where we agree. I don't think fossil fuel is the power source of the future. For one thing, it's not efficient enough to get us to other planets and solar systems, and that is a necessary next step in our transportation needs. But neither is electricity (especially when inefficiently generated by wind or solar). However, fossil fuels are the best energy source we have at the moment for land or air transportation (and most water transportation). We cannot continue with the indefinite use of fossil fuels forever!!
Wind and solar are already cheaper.A sensible person works with what they have until something better comes along, and it always does, unless you bankrupt yourself in the meantime on stupid developments (like wind and solar).
Whoa whoa, wait a minute here. Most of these policies are hollow and were only implemented to stop the NDP from forcing an election.Anyways electorally the NDP may not do well federally, but Jagmeet has achieved more then any NDP leader since Ed Broadbent, maybe even Tommy Douglas.
1. National Free School Lunches
2. Dentalcare
3. The first beginning stage of Pharmacare
4. Funding For Affordible Housing (folks did not realize this was part of the agreement).
5. Reforms to antitrust legislation to prevent future monopolies.
6. And more I'd have to go look up the rest
If Wind and Solar are useless better inform The Ford Government ASAP about it:Here's where we agree. I don't think fossil fuel is the power source of the future. Maybe, but campaigning on cutting cheap daycare, dental, drug coverage and taxes on the rich will be a hard sell.Whoa whoa, wait a minute here. Most of these are hollow and where only implement to stop the NDP to force an election.
1. This is most likely be axed in 2 years.
2. A hollow plan that most dentist haven't and will not signed up for.
3. This fell way short from what they promised.
4. It was actually Poilievre that got this going. Justin had address this or he would have been done.
5. More hollow policies that don't do or change anything.
6. The only thing missing is being Justin's tool. That he accomplished 100%
You can't say Poilievre isn't working hard. Pressing Trudeau is what has gotten him off his ass.
Look how long the Liberal-NDP coalition has been going on and nothing got done.
for the record you would also kiss good bye any future private investment in the provinceHow did this thread become about the Ontario provincial issue?
For the recorded I'd simply confiscate the 407 without compensation, .
he has placed locking in his MPs pension ahead of the interests of Canadians by supporting the corrupt liberalsJagmeet for all his flaws deserved to be the Prime Minister, he's worked hard and unlike Pierre he's actually earned it.
Which I suspect if the media did its job and actually reported on all his achievements most folks would agree with. Sadly its like with Merit Styles, the credit never seems to go where its deserved and earned, instead it gets handed over to a NEPO baby who doesn't deserve it.
remove the corrupt trust fund moron from the PMs officeSo what are Poilievre's Policies?
Off the top of my head.So what are Poilievre's Policies?
You're making that up, he hasn't announced any of that.Off the top of my head.
1. Tougher on crime and harder sentences.
2. Shrinking the size of government to lower the budget.
3. Aggressively target inflation.
4. Axing the Carbon tax. Invest in green technology.
5. Working with all levels of government to build homes.
6. Probably will lower immigration back to controllable levels.
Ummmm not quite despite your knack for failing miserably at following an argument or logic for that matter. You were just destroyed by bvr filling out your argument to show how much cheaper transit is and now you're trying to argue you can't include all auto costs when you calculate auto costs?
You did prove the existence of skoobitity.
Here's the same response I gave your buddy FF:Hold on, we are now discussing about the Go Train costs. Did you forget that? You claimed that:
Hence, the need of a proper Public Transport Infrastructure like they have in Amsterdam and London, as a sizeable number of Toronto residents do not either own cars or can afford the costs of that daily commute by cars especially when using the 407ETR!!
if the Dental Plan going to costs hundreds of millions of taxpayers dollars to administer and less than 1% of the dentists are eager to participate, then he should scrap itI have a question about the Dental Plan. If elected as PM what will Pierre Poilievre's Conservative Party do with it?
obviously the dentists do not like the planAnd according to the Nova Scotia Dental Association, a non-profit that represents more than 500 dentists in the province, nearly all of them have yet to do so. The association's president, Dr. Juli Waterbury, said Tuesday that only four dentists in the province had signed up.
You know what's way cheaper?Ummmm not quite despite your knack for failing miserably at following an argument or logic for that matter.
You forgot to factor in time and the fact that someone is bound to a train schedule. Time is money. Convenience is money.
Go Train can't get you to the specific location. It gets you to a general location bound to where the stations are located. How about additional fares?
What if you need to go to several places in a particular time span? More fares. More time.
What if you need to take extra passengers? Go Train doesn't have a 5-for-1 fare do they?
When you factor all of that in transit isn't always cheaper considering the constraints.
Yeah sure...take the subway and pay out your ass for shoebox real-estate. You think that's cheaper? OMFGYou know what's way cheaper?
Living downtown and walking, biking or TTC.
Then don't whine about how expensive and long your commute is.Yeah sure...take the subway and pay out your ass for shoebox real-estate. You think that's cheaper? OMFG
