How did this thread become about the Ontario provincial issue?
For the recorded I'd simply confiscate the 407 without compensation, 99 year contract was pure corruption and they've abused the fuck out of it. Ban them from sueing over it too and if they try and fight it, pull their business licience as well.
Those pieces of shit spent years trying to collect from my dad mother and they repeatedly scammed my father.
Anyways electorally the NDP may not do well federally, but Jagmeet has achieved more then any NDP leader since Ed Broadbent, maybe even Tommy Douglas.
1. National Free School Lunches
2. Dentalcare
3. The first beginning stage of Pharmacare
4. Funding For Affordible Housing (folks did not realize this was part of the agreement).
5. Reforms to antitrust legislation to prevent future monopolies.
6. And more I'd have to go look up the rest
Meanwhile Pierre has gotten *checks notes* nothing beyond some none binding motions passed with Jagmeet's help, then voted IN FAVOUR OF MORE TAXES on home heating (its true, Jagmeet backed Pierre on a motion calling for removing the carbon tax on home heating, but then voted in favour of keeping the HST on home heating when Jagmeet wanted to push to have it removed from home heating).
JT does almost nothing unless forced to by public anger and the NDP. If he doesn't want Pierre to win he should retire, he's the lightening rod for all the anger. Hopefully we can push the Liberals to elect someone who will support REAL electoral reform before the next election.
Jagmeet for all his flaws deserved to be the Prime Minister, he's worked hard and unlike Pierre he's actually earned it.
Which I suspect if the media did its job and actually reported on all his achievements most folks would agree with. Sadly its like with Merit Styles, the credit never seems to go where its deserved and earned, instead it gets handed over to a NEPO baby who doesn't deserve it.
